Deal me in mafia game thread

All players are now seated at the table and the game has begun. Cards have been dealt and bets have been placed (initial abilities bought). Some players are wearing dark sunglasses, some are just staring at their card and avoiding eye contact, others are talking and laughing, one is nervously taping the table, and a few are intently studying the other players looking for some tells. It is now night 0 but no abilities may be used until the start of day 1 (tomorrow). If a player gets the most lynch votes on days 1 or 2 = they will not die but will have some of their PM information and/or abilities purchased made public in the forum. Other normal mafia terms apply. Forum posts and PMs are allowed anytime. PMs must include the Dealer = me Face cards and aces are not in play There are no new players here so i will not repeat rules or guidelines that you all know. Only 1 ability may be used by each player per night phase All players were send the same opening PM so that info will not be repeated. Abs, here's a quick recap of what Tennessee said in the sign up threat about this: [spoiler]More details to follow later but here is the basic game all will be dealt a card and you will be the value and suit of that card. we will not be using any face cards or aces. There will be a target number (let's say 12). You will have to form a group that totals 12. So if you are a 4, then you will need to find and end up with you and only others that will total 12 - for instance you need 8 more = that could be an 8 or two 4s, or a 3, 3, and 2, etc. to try and clarify, in this example, if there are 6 players left - you (4) , a 3, another 3, a 2. another 2, and another 4 = 4, 3, 3, 2, 2, 4 = you would need to kill a 2 and 4 to win. or you could kill both 3s and win. by this point in the game you may or may not know what the other players cards are. there also may or may not be ways for you win other than reaching the target number. Everyone will have abilities that you will purchase with your starting money. the common abilities of kill, protect, investigate, distract, and extra votes will be included along with 1-2 more and will cost differing amounts based on perceived value. voting "no lynch" will cost money and so will missing a vote. PMs must include the Dealer = me [b][u]This will be a game of teams[/u][/b] vs a mafia against town game.[/spoiler][/quote] Ten also Posted this with a critical point: [spoiler] 10 Jun 2023, 23:00 Post #18 there has been a little confusion on how to win you have to be alive to win. whatever number of players that are left when the total of all live players equals 12. you do not have to have been in any conversation with any of them to win. there would be an advantage if there were 12 ones that found each other and decided to stay together til the end and kill all others - that would give you a huge lynch voting block - but if only 1 of you got killed = you could not win like that because you would total 11. you would have to kill a 1 and have a 2 left alive. (i have already said there are no aces = 1s - so this can not happen) the other extreme would be if an 11 and a 1 got together (again there are no aces so this could not happen) - you would have a smaller group to work with and protect but have a very small lynch voting block. if the game gets down to four players = a 9, a 4. a 4, and another 4 and one of the 4s dies [b][u]= none of you would win since there is no combination left that would equal 12[/u][/b] [/spoiler]

Seems like they are already at some shenanigans!

haha, I think he meant "tapping" the table. Or he could be taping as in recording the table, but then he could also be applying a concerning amount of scotch, duct, or masking tape to the table, but why? Why I say? haha.

Ten TLM is the dealer. Table tapper is a character (maybe a neutral [i]wildcard[/i]) . One can take it farther (rabbit hole) and say players with glasses are even № and w/o are odd. Then there are the suits. Odds are black and Reds being even. Suits are likely just a story line as well as glasses IMO. Given we make our teams - trust and truth will be important. I will 100% claim I can NOT kill, peek, protect, investigate or distract at this time.

Fyi I got my name from my card playing buddies for bluffing with a 2 of clubs against an Ace of hearts with the keys to my avatar in the pot. - Bluffs were defined as deceptions that are acceptable to both parties during negotiation, while lies were defined as deceptions that are unacceptable to both. - lying is intentionally hiding the truth after a due course of preparation and bluffing is a spontaneous act of hiding the truth due to pressure of circumstanc
