It is now Day 8. Please submit your Lynch vote, as well as any Role-specific Day actions you wish to perform (countdown).
Day Actions:
• #LYNCH [player], #NO LYNCH, #ABSTAIN in forum thread.
• Role-specific actions (via PM with V98).

@Vexer - I know about that problem, people fighting for Australia when the game is already in the ending. Personally I move out and leave the gate open, who holds Australia in the end-game usually dies, maybe he dies last, but he rarely wins. We may say in the World Classic map the game begins in Australia and ends in Australia. But that's because it has one entry only, such extreme condition; here it is supposed to have 3 borders, things will be different in this map.

TO RESUME

° World Double is confirmed as title by majority agreement and top level cartography staff decision.

° New Zealand addition is generally accepted by most. But the decision is still pending on the NZ to NZ-2 connection line because of the risk of a too rich super-region formed by the two Aussies. Relevant but not so drastic in for me.

° Capital placements have a preliminary version, a bit too early at this stage really, but it is mostly to evaluate what is the effect of NZ on this matter. Positive in my opinion.

° Bonus assignment is the next subject. We have a starting proposal by myself partially based on Vexer's formula, partially on the World Classic gameplay. Really I am having a rethinking because now I would feel better with Europe bonus reduced at +4, but I fear the opinions of the World Classic lovers on this reduction.

Every thought and comment is welcome.

Nice job Hood!

But I have some observations to do:
  • Connections lines from Britain to N.Europe and W.Europe are missing. Please add them in little, just 1-dash lines.
  • And I think the same for E.Africa and Mid East. In some Risk versions they are not connected since it's better to clarify that here they are.
  • Probably there is no need of a connection line between W.Europe and N.Africa because it looks already clear.
  • All territories tags should have the same placement in both worlds, but several are different.
  • I'm not sure to like how some tags and markers are placed especially where you got 2 tags very next each other.
  • The map is big in territories and some short form must be allowed. I think if we have Great Britain reduced to Britain, then Papua New Guinea might be reduced to New Guinea.
I suggest to adjust names and circles in one world then you copy it with opacity over the other one (but upside-down rotated) so you can reproduce the same layout of the first world in the second one.

I like the new connection lines much and thanks Hood for adjusting the Tunisia issue ;)

Oh and I didn't nortice it before but also the Scandinavia--N.Europe connection is missing. And we have an issue there because the territory tag is covering all the place there. Shouòld we maybe shorten the "Europe" territories as "WE", "NE" and "SE" ?

Trying to developing this amazing project, I received the file from Hoodlum and now I'm working a bit on it.
Let me know what you think please.

What I did from last version is:
- Conversion of the file from Paint.net to Photoshop.com
- Adjusted North America colour that changed slightly in the file conversion.
- Played with tags, circles and dashed lines locations in order to try a more harmonized placement.
- Deleted half of those and copied in the opposite side, in order to have them perfectly equal in both Worlds.
- Redone all the text because it was lost in the process, not editable anymore. I found a similar font, just a tiny bit bolder.
(whoever will find some misspellings will be awarded with 100 tokens!)
- Adjusted Egypt border and N.W.Territory border (that name is not correct, actually is Northwest Territories -plural- but, as it is wrong in all Risk maps I know, then I suppose it must be tolerated as a common traditional mistake).
- Reduced the 'dark' under-glow of the connection lines, it looked better to me
- Redone the mini-map formed by one World only as it is in the other double/dual maps. Also provided a frame and the shadow to make it appear detached from the rest of the map.
- Added ocean names... I could not resist to test the upside-down version!
- Tried to play a bit with the title but I'm not sure it is good.
