I think it was fair to give Spartakus 3 days to find a new partner because the situation was out of his control.
Come on Pixel, really? It seems like we live on 2 different planets. How can you say "out of his control"? Who picked sekretar as a teammate? I didn't, he did it. As I said "You are the referee. You have not to judge the single person. You have to judge the teams."
Imagine this like a sport competition. Tennis for example. Put the case a player strikes the referee with the racket. He would be probably banned from the sport for the next 10 years. The whole team would be probably banned from that tournament. It is not the case to say: "Your teammate is bad person, but you are good guy, I give you 3 days to find a new teammate". Ridiculous...
I know it's hard to win 1 against 2. But in that case it was still a
great grant. The alternative was to immediately end the game and give us a forfeiture win. "Your teammate is a bad person, I am sorry that you have to pay for him. Period"
Every time I asked an admin to end a game in this site, the answer always was: "only with the complete agreement of the other players".
Now we are contemplating a new rule:
an admin can end a game because he prefers to see a good game... But, that was my game! You didn't ask to me if I agreed! My team had the right to decide if we wanted a new game or not.
I would have
probably agreed with a new game but not with a 72h grant. I mean, when Aero asked to me if I had a teammate for a live game, I found 3 players in a quarter of hour, just typing one line in the lobby chat. That's so easy! 72 hours was too much.
About the quality of this tourney... As I said it looks more like a friend tournament with child rules. Most of people here are just playing for fun. I would have loved something more competitive. Well, I don't mind. I'll just have fun to play.
But at the moment I'm not having any fun nor playing. The tourney started 5 days ago and I am still waiting to begin my first game. I mean my
second first game. That is not fun nor high quality. Sorry.
By the way I clearly understand that this is the first team tournament and it can be lacking in some features. Plus, most of the teams have been formed casually in this case.
But please Pixel don't try to explain to me why your action was right, because then I will answer to you why it was wrong and we will go on forever. I don't want to debate that case anymore. I forgot it.
I want just to give my help to fix some rules for the next tournament and the next games. Does anybody agree with that Thorpe and I are saying, i.e. one is responsible for the teammate he picks? I can't see how to disagree really. Does anybody agree with the rules I proposed here above?
