Map Suggestions

Maybe someone can make an enhanced version of that map. Larger of course to accommodate the DXII game only. Then every Champions name can be included in it with generic names so future champions can be added (multiple winners can have their names in a different colour)

I had in mind exactly that. Thought that it would be better to create a map from scratch than redoing that one which to me is quite ugly. But not just for DXII games, surely.

This is a small mockup of the idea, just in its first states, and probably not updated. A random territory would be named from the winner of every dominator game. Continent names would be given to those managing to get 2 or 3 times the title.

From what I remember about that map, it was a fictional land mass and if I'm honest, it was not very well imagined, with endless possibilities it could have been far better, so I wouldn't recommend using that map for a Dominator Map. It was also semi contradictory, where it was for "honoured players", some of which were banned.
I'm sure there was once an idea of a Dominator Map, with something like numbers on the ones to be named in the future.
The idea was exactly the same as yours, where the Dominators can be added somewhere, the territory name changed and the map overwritten.
I don't have time to look for it now, but perhaps it was a Cartographer discussion, or it could have even been your previous suggestion??
Either way, it is something that has been considered and might well be undertaken at some time.
Another idea, might be to have a map with the mentioned wording "Champions", where all tournament winners can also be added, so that at least the map will be half full of names before the 22nd century??

Yes I agree that we should add dominating teams and stuff. Actually I think that we should say beforehand if a specific tourney gives or not a spot in the map. Maybe if we had enough people, a yearly dominating game for the winners could be made, with a continent's name as a prize.

There are over 60 territories. It will take over 5 years to finish it. Maybe just give the entire top 12 a territory on the map and leave the region names to the actual dominators. That should fill up the map a lot quicker.

Indeed, and every list won't be adding 12 people, just the few new ones. But I'd have to check all previous lists and probably there won't be space for more...

What about using something like this for Realm of Dominators?

Pondered this idea, and hammertime mentioned it too..
So while I'm in the current style of North America, thought I'd play around with a South America, thinking ahead, so then maybe they can both be
played together as a super map South America is just rough with no thought into gameplay. Brazil is broken up into
5 sub regions here. 

That would be a super map... over 100 territories?
The problem I see is making South America so that is can be joined to North America seamlessly.
If you are going for this sort of new concept, you would really need to build it from a duplicated source file of North America, separate and save South America as a single map, then save the 2 together for a super map. I hope this makes sense?

The other problem then would be connectivity North to South, there aren't any current allocations for ports or connection lines.

Main problem: it would never fit on a screen?
