Still not a fan :P Gameplay trumps lighting, it was easier to see the borders around the moon and Asia the other way. Though I never liked the color / texture of the moon so that looks much better now.

The Moon I think it looks better as it is now. Yes that border is a bit less intuitive, but still plenty visible in my opinion.
