What?  It seems I can not read or hear you.... What?

i think some of us can consider making a club of team play tourney practice,
because team play is amazing, and innovative in the Risk world, maybe we can establish team games here and in mail.
Even opt to try different maps, or capitals ( best 2 out of 3),, or unlimited ?, but no fog games or same time please! ( dont even discuss fog, the guessing luck factor game is better left a solo game and not team)

Even practicing something like teams of 3 or 4 each, with a team Chief who has the final say on everyones moves if there is any controversy of judgements, could factor into the practice.

We would be sort of experimenting , or sort of beta test running tourney options for future tourneys.

Maybe we will master team play and write the first Risk team tourney tips manual...?

(if you catch my drift,, this could be the mastering of a whole new Risk arena )
i mean, we have that juicy big expanded map ( oh , and wouldn't a expanded map of Europe that size be great? viking world themed? did i say that yet?),,

Lets innovate, and master this , i call for a Tourney Team Play Practice Club!
Who's with me? yarrr

also, here is a chart/table of basic Double Elimination,, worth consideration especially if tourneys end with a nice Prize

Round 2 is finished and there are now 4 teams still in the tourney (alphabetically):
Ay Carmella
Blood-n-Guts
Burning Cordoba
DeathFromAbove

Congratulations to all the semi finalists and well played!
Commiserations to all the losers!
The tourney website shows details of all previous matches and current standings.

Merry Christmas!

I like the idea. Team games are fun, but with out the proper programming one person must do a lot of grunt work. Such as what L.I.P is doing for this team tournament, it would be overwhelming to do it at a higher volume.

dferg,, i was just proposing an idea that some of us can practice teamplay in password games , prearranged by the players to be team,, and i suppose the less ranked of the 2 who win the game would have the right of way to finish off his partner after the win n order to end the game,, its informal practice in prep for these tournaments,, the polishing of the skill
( basically pre arranged among friends) we just may need our own forum topic thread , and arrange such games in mail,, i dunno, maybe one day the tourney club website we are currently involved with can have a link to the 'Practice Club' ?

Something simple where teams announce they are a team, waiting for another team to agree to a game, 'contact us in D12 mail' or something,, ???

Hey, don't yall think this thread should now be moved to 'general discussion'?
This all started out as a suggestion, but sice it seems like it's full speed ahead with this idea, it should be moved to general discussion.

@urgul,

Don't forget, this is a suggestions and feedback forum. This idea is still in the early stages and even the current tourny is still testing the idea and lots of feedback is still neccessary.
