Yes, unfortunately with Westchester's ban, westparsona is no longer able to play.
I would like to take a vote with the players in this tournament to see what to do with the next round.

There are 3 Options:
1. Youth in Asia (Brewdog and Wise), the losers of their last match against westparsona, could take the place of westparsona in the next round. Essentially we are acting as if Youth in Asia won.
2. Westparsona would be entered into the pairing for the next round, but then automatically eliminated and their opponents would automatically advance to the next round.
3. Westparsona is entered into the parking for the next round, but it is a 2v1 match since westchester won't be joining. Very similar to option 2 since the outcome is almost guaranteed to be the same.

I'm not so fond of the second idea myself because the team that is paired with westparsona gets a really lucky break into the finals. Not very fair. My vote goes for number 1. If this is what we choose, the rules would state that if a team must forfeit between rounds, the loser of their last match automatically takes their place.

I would like to hear what you think within the next 48 hours. Please provide good reasons for your opinions.

I say option 1... unless his partner thinks he can take on a team solo... odds not good in the win and makes an easy by for the team he plays.

Remembering all the talk of "you are essentially responsible for your team mate and their actions", I believe Iparsona doesn't get a choice in the matter, but to play a 2 v 1 game is like a free entry into the next round.

I don't believe that any team should get a free entry into the finals and the only alternative is to allow the losers to play for that position in the finals. Therefore, I vote for Youth in Asia to continue in their place.

Well the final game from round 1 has finished so I'm changing the voting period to 24 hours instead of 48. Hopefully we can get this next round started soon.

We pushed for a fast win and we failed. We got some bad rolls really. To be honest I got some bad rolls. But in this case is Crystal's fault, due to what has been said about team responsibility...!!

I don't want to reopen the case but please grant me the right to be hilarious to say that unfortunately one round ago rules were completely different!

By the way I can't see anything more logical than #1.

Now our only hope is to see Clarke or Axobongo banned...
Little chance, but still a chance! Lols
I hope not so really. GG guys.

Many thanks to Aeronautic for adding a lot of things to the team tournament page!
http://www.the-inkstore.co.uk/frame/D12_2013_2v2_Tournament.htm

The rules have been included, for anyone who did not find that forum post. Additionally, Aeronautic included a link to a separate page which clearly shows the pairings and results of each round. You can find that by clicking on the yellow text under the avatars, or by going here.

No problem, the least I can do for a site I enjoy so much... most of the time.. LOL!
BTW I have done a major change to the format, it is all text based now and should help with the screen resolution of all computers. Please all have a look and let me know if there are any problems?

There are now links to everything tourney on there.

Same link as above.

I trust y'all to decide. We will play whomever we are put up against.

i would vote for iparsona being able to find a substitute in 48 hrs.
if its not an option, then option-1 seems easiest to choke down.

That is such a great page and looks great. I do not mind scrolling down ... it was scrolling across that I did not like, but you fixed it...thank-you!

I'm very sorry Bishop for what has happened with your game. However, i disagree with what you're saying. A team game with one team missing a player is not a good game at all; they hardly have a chance. I think that there must be a priority for good games over quick ones. I want this tournament to be a high quality one, not one where we crank out as many games as possible in a small period of time.

The issue with Spartakus and Sekretar is very unfortunate, but there's nothing I or Spartakus could do about that. I think it was fair to give Spartakus 3 days to find a new partner because the situation was out of his control. Having him play by himself would mean he loses for sure. It wouldn't really be a team match anymore. Would you really have preferred that?

I do appreciate your suggestions though. I hope the next tournament is an improvement from this one, and the more feedback I get the better.

Yes Thorpe, maybe it will be good to clarify that to team members in the future. Since it is the first time we are trying this, I thought it was fair to give Spartakus time to try and find a replacement. But I agree with Matty, we must strive for good quality games, not cheap ones just to get through the tournament. That's why I'm trying to get a replacement for Spartakus' team instead of just sending him to fight two players by himself.

There's a good chance that Bishop and Crystal will be playing Clarke and Axobongo, I'm just waiting for one more confirmation and they'll be good to go.

in my opinion there should(as there are) be replacement TEAMS ready for such an instance as a 48 hr no show team member. I believe this team forfeits place in tourney. Replacement team at the 48 hr point would immediately take all responsibilities of the "delinquent" team.
