Money and Masks Mafia Game

FLAVOUR:
An isolated town's long-standing mayor died mysteriously overnight. Some question whether mafia were involved. The town decides to re-elect a new mayor every day until the crisis is averted.
Meanwhile the town falls into anarchy - everyone fashions themselves a mask and crime soars through the roof. A new store has recently opened with questionable products, but fearful or troublemaking customers only dare enter behind their masks.
Every morning, the town assembles unmasked to elect a new mayor, and every afternoon a lynching is held, again unmasked.
Will the town be able to cooperate amid the chaos, discover the mafia, and restore the peace? And watch out, because some people out there care for no-one but themselves.

Based on traditional mafia. However, there are some important differences:

Firstly, each player is given a role PM, and a uniquely coloured mask. The mask colour is important, as it will give you anonymity when performing night actions and buying items. Discovering who is under each mask will become a vital part of the strategy of the game.

Secondly, each day cycle is split into 3 phases instead of 2.

As a rule of thumb, all actions done in the Forum (elections and lynchings) are unmasked, as well as PM actions that are mutually agreed between two players (#DEALs, #SWAP MASKS).

Inside or Outside at night? (click to show)
At night, players are outside their houses if they perform a night action (apart from #RUN FOR ELECTION which can be done from inside their houses).
When leaving the house at night, players choose whether to bring coins and items or leave them at the house (players cannot bring two of the same item with them). (You'll notice that lots of items can only be used on players who are outside of their houses.)

When do I see players' masks? (click to show)
At night, players see the masks of players they directly interact with (knife attacks, brick attacks, #SWAP MASKS). Players’ masks may also be seen by CCTV cameras.
During the day, no-one will see your mask except the Store Owner when you buy an item.

Positions: (click to show)
The final element to this game is Positions. These are not Roles – any player can be either Position and they will move from player to player as the game progresses. Positions allow a player to earn big money, plus a couple of added benefits. Someone will start the game as Store Owner, and the Mayor is elected every morning.

• Gains all money spent by players in the store.
• Records what every masked player buys.
• Buyers see his mask.
• Still pays full price for store items.
• If killed, the position of Store Owner goes to the killer.
• If lynched, the mayor gains the position of Store Owner.

• Earns 3 extra coins at the end of every day phase for every other player who voted for them (max 10 coins).

Oh, and I should probably explain elections. Each morning, players who chose to #RUN FOR ELECTION the previous night may be voted to be the Mayor. Each election candidate will have chosen an economic regime (Socialist, Centrist, Capitalist) that would be adopted should they be elected. These regimes will have big consequences on the distribution of money, so vote wisely!
• Socialist - all money is redistributed evenly, then players pay 1 coin for every 2 items they own
• Centrist - no redistribution of money
• Capitalist - players receive 1 coin for every 2 items they own

Set up at any player's house. Each night it reports a random mask colour seen going to or from that house.
• Knife: 5 coins
Kill a player (mafia only). Steal from a player who is outside. Protect yourself from other knife holders (automatic if attacked).
• Cane: 2 coins, Single Use
Break an attacker's knife (automatic if attacked), or break a CCTV camera (whilst #CHECKING HOUSES)
• Brick: 2 coins, Single Use
Break into a house - if empty, steal all coins and items inside. If not empty, your mask will be seen and you steal nothing.
• Extra mask: 3 coins
May be worn instead of normal coloured mask (Variants: flamboyant unicorn, fflufffy lllaama, Donald Trump)
• First-Aid kit: 9 coins, Single Use
Protect another player from knifekills for one night. If they are not harmed, this item is retained.
• Protective vest: 12 coins
Protects against unlimited knifekills.
• Fake Identity: 3 coins, Single Use, Daytime
Gives you an anonymous extra election or lynch vote (PM your vote to the host).
• Poison-laced needle: 12 coins, Single Use
Poison a player who is outside (dies after 2 more nights).
• Antidote: 12 coins, Single Use
Cure a poisoned player.
• Oil: 7 coins, Single Use
Douse a player's house in oil. #IGNITE the oil during any later night to destroy all doused houses and any people, items, and money inside.
