That came to mind as I was looking over the suggestion again.
However, with the - & + at the ends of the slider and perhaps an interactive "To" field, the slider numerical display wouldn't be essential or even required.

I am with Cireon in saying that creating a customized slider is not something we should do IMO.

I like Vexer's suggestions so far, with the sole exception of the "X" - an X says cancel, not send none, which is a major usability flaw.
I'm not a professional designer, but I know exactly what one would say to me if I suggested to let an X button do that, but wouldn't be a nice thing to hear.

I do agree with Hoodlum that the box blocking what we see on the map. Maybe transparency is the option, maybe the option to drag around the box is enough, maybe we need the option to have a topbar instead of a box (we can easily collapse the three small rows into one big row and put it in the top of the screen where it doesn't block the map).

The X isn't send none. I only said send none to make it clear what it effectively does. It is a cancel button. I actually originally had a full cancel button in the design until I moved the text for the To territory down and realized and X could now go in the corner. After conquering a territory 1 troop is automatically moved in, then the send troops box pops up automatically. If you don't need to send troops then you click cancel.

I prefer this box idea over the top bar because it works better for mobile. I can zoom in until the box fills the screen to make it easier to use. Can't do that with the top bar. As long as the box can be moved, I think it will be fine.

I want this box to be default for sure.

And you can't cancel an attack. People would use it to send no troops, so please let's give it a name that sais something of the kind.

The "problem" with the top bar is that it also controls the phases in the turn and we need to take care that those are separate from whatever phase controls (like this menu) we need. Having them in two rows does that very well, but it also doesn't look as nice. Am happy to investigate having options for both though that can be switched between depending on device/people's preferences.

In the short term could we alter the initial reinforcement screen? I just tried to split my troops on two territories and I paused between it recalculating things. Unfortunately I thought I had chosen the 2nd target, but the 1st was still selected. Could we alter the reinforcements to do one or both of the following:

1. Instead of "Place troops" could the button text change to be "Place troops on {territory}"?
2. When you don't place all troops on a territory could it deselect the territory chosen on the previous placement and force you to select again?

I won't get to it anytimes soon; Cireon?

I will see if I can implement an automatic deselect after placing part of your troops, but also no promises.

Not sure if I was seeing things but I swear it appears you already knocked that out Cireon!

@dough_boy and others: after placing your reinforcements partly the territory will now be automatically unselected :)

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to make a suggestion since I see the website is constantly improving.
I think it would be pleasant and useful to have a button saying "invite all" or something like that when inviting players to join a game.

When I launch a game I often go and have to invite individually the players online.

Thanks,

Not a fan of that. I get annoyed by being invited to games I have no wish to join.
Or maybe there should be a setting where I can choose whether or not to be invited.
