Romeo & Juliet Mafia - Game Thread

Someone should run for Centralist as well. It would be interesting to note who votes for them. Really it seems that centralist would be a day 2 move to ensure that none of the more expensive items can be bought by the mafia. So the poor don’t have to worry about swords. Of course the Shop keeper will get a sword though. And the person who becomes Lord of Verona. Which if they are mafia would make them pretty unstoppable under the system of drought. I don’t think Anax should be Lord of Verona. At the moment there is no-one we can really trust. I hope Anax was just trying to help the town out, but he could be a mafia trying to get us to trust him so that he could get a load of coins. I say we ask 2 different people, people who haven’t spoken up much yet to become the Lord of Verona.

I don't really agree with the centrist candidate though as: 1) the centrist regime is just a in between capitalist and socialist so it's never the best option. 2) it offers a 3rd person a way to go out. With two scums in these 3, that could mean 2 potentially bad actions if they don't actually check houses and pretend they did.

it sounds to me like anax is working and voicing his opinion that is in the best interest of the town. i am all for him giving leadership to the group and picking (at random at this point if he wants to) 2-3 people to run for lord (or just 1) and 2-3 people to be watchmen tonight. if he is mafia, he would not pick his mafia buddies tonight because that would be a bigger chance of outing them. this is not a legal vote but if 5 people agree to follow his direction - then i say go for it

If one is scum, if someone who shouldn't get out, gets out for some reason and the scum doesn't say anything, then the other "politician" should notice there is a problem. And if no one goes out, this person technically would have only one action available (since he has to run for election). This action can't be #oil as we would then know it's one of the two. And it can't be stabbing the other, cause even if he finds out the other guy's mask, he'll be held responsible for what happened. There is a possibility a scum has a 3rd or unlimited night action (i think it's highly possible given it was the case in the previous Money and Mask) but still good luck trying something.
