Thoughts on game breakdown for split town (assuming the forum contains more truth-telling that outright lies).
Possible beginning set up:
3 - Montague
3 - Capulet
3 - Unaffiliated Town (survive until the end)
3 - Neutral
3 - Mafia (Escalus)
Now we would have:
3 - Montague (Eliminate House Escalus, gain numerical advantage on House Capulet)
3 - Capulet (Eliminate House Escalus, get numerical advantage on House Montague)
2 - Unaffiliated Town (survive until the end, but likely "Eliminate House Escalus"... Known Win clause: Survive with Romeo and Juliet until the House of Escalus (mafia) is eliminated, or survive until the House of Escalus and hostile neutrals are eliminated.)
2 - Neutral (survive until the end, but likely "Eliminate House Escalus"... Known Win clause: Ensure that Romeo and Valentine survive until endgame.)
2 - Mafia (Escalus ... Known Win clause: Eliminate the House of Montague, the House of Capulet, and all hostile neutrals.)
I want to point out the possibility that Alex is telling the truth as he claims. More people win if Capulets and Montagues can avoid making power plays on each other. So, IMO we should not be targeting the innocents in the middle of this feud of houses. We should be targeting mafia.
Structurally, it might seem that Anax and Mada really want the shop, given the past few days of play. I think we should shut that idea down right now. Let's talk about Mafia. Let's find House Escalus. We know Mdhaglund is Escalus. But killing him is strategically unwise. Because, Alex could have poison and that would give Alex a chance at night to finish the mafia. That could lead to the 2 neutral’s win clause’s coming into play (which is probably Alex’s) and give us a neutral win and not a town win. Alex says he wins with the town but we can’t know if that is true. We just can’t so keeping him alive is too risky. Yes I’ll get the shop but I haven’t done anything evil with anything all game so hopefully you can trust me. But Alex has to go at this point in the game. The last round that wasn’t the case as there were 3 mafia but now there are only 2 and their options of who they could be seem extremely limited. So we can lynch them anytime.
I think Mada might be right here. I also think Rheisel is Juliet and neutral. I have no proof, but things he's said throughout, including the advocating for keeping Alex alive make me think this. Unless proven otherwise, I say #LYNCH AlexCheckMate.
