Romeo & Juliet Mafia - Game Thread

I suspect many people, but i can't say who is scum/neutral/townie playing weirdly. The idea is we check houses, and tomorrow we take 2/3 people who were outside for no reason, and lynch the scummiest.

Well, we will know more tomorrow then.

Just guessing, but @@milnejw24 should have somewhere near 13 coins!!! Good for milnejw24! That is enough to buy poison or so many other special items tomorrow morning! Running a socialist regime is upsetting to a hefty contingent of players right now. I don't know why, but I have found their frustration comforting so far. Let's admit it though, the economy is in the dumps. We are now sharing 13-15 total coins, meaning there are somewhere between 26-28 coins in circulation. (Do other people count it out similarly?) That said, I like that the economy is depressed. Who likes the thought of mafia buying oil in bulk? (That's as close to a "fire sale," as we need to come, am I right? Sorry.) Day 2 Lord - Milnejw24 - (what will milnejw24 buy with his 13 or so coins on morning #3?) Day 3 Lord - TBD - I like the slow play! What regime do you all like for tomorrow? (My guess is that those voted Capitalism this past round already have enough items. Maybe they shouldn't run for election tonight?)

I'm going to run again, I'd like someone with medical bandages to protect me as I go. Or the Friar can sleep me if something bad would happen. It's better keeping someone who can source some kind of information alive. You won't lose your medical bandages if the mafia don't choose to kill me! What scheme should I go. I could go Capitalist as a lot of the mafia bought fake votes, so they may not have too many items. I could go centralist which would mean it's not devestating for anyone and not too overpowered if someone rich decides to buy a lot of items. What would people prefer? You should vote for me for Lord of Verona. It is a good thing for an inspector of sort to have a way of protecting himself so I can give lots of information freely

Maybe play it safe and take socialist though, most people have not understood why it's not good for the poors and you don't want to pay 1 coin for nothing.

I am setting watchmen on two houses. So, if someone can protect me, if that's possible, that would be great!

[/quote] you seem to be trusting of madagascarter. he's definitely got a role, to easily gain trust through information and direct suspicion elsewhere. he shared it quite easily, and early enough for mafia not to figure out anything yet. could that be a role given to the shopkeeper? having all this info of $ is a bit strange for a town faction. would it overpower one house over the other? just thinking about game mechanics

you can #run too Hood I don't trust him 100% but i trust him more than others who i don't know what they do at night.

I'd like to run for office at some point. It would definitely be more exciting to have some coin during the day. I am not opposed to checking houses, but I am not going to commit to it right now. Anax, since you are somewhat QB-ing the game for town, would you be willing to offer some kind of argument as to why Capitalism might be better for town? I am certainly one of the poor who do not see the advantages.
