Romeo & Juliet Mafia - Game Thread

Returning to Socialist later is good. For now, I think Capitalist is the best because if Mafia spent there coins on extra votes instead of items, I would not want to give them coins back from the rest of town to replenish. Anax's assessment of who is on the naughty list is perfectly logical so I will vote for him for this election as his 2 votes will be put to good use.

I am running because I don’t fully trust Anax (or anyone, with the possible exception of Elysium) and don’t want Anax to get too much power. He already is the most influential town or without any elected position and I think giving him money and an extra vote would be too much. That said, if he can come up with a great reason to lynch someone, I am not against listening to his advice.

ok - i got semi-accused last game of foul play by another player for not pointing out beforehand that i personally know several other players. to me it has no relevance to the game and i think you can see by the way i play that i give no preference in the game. I know they're playing fair and all that; but if I had family getting nearly lynched on day one, when there's no clear reason why - I would try to keep him alive. Don't try and read something in something which doesn't have to be something. It could be, but it doesn't have to be. I also don't think that if he was mafia, he'd have everyone mobilesed to safe him; too risky with respect to getting exposed. It's normal human nature/behaviour; especially for people <15y/o and >40y/o. I think. Pretty sure that if any of you feel like you need to do a certain thing in order to get ahead in the game you will. But on day 1.. it's completely normal to try and keep such people in game. Also for meta-game reasons; you'll be able to more easily detect irregularities in someone; lies; stuff like that. Same goes for riskgames/other. 'Know thy enemy.' It's a smart move.

You expect none to go outside You expect none to leave money inside Anyway. I like your brain for the most bit; just not so much the dictatorship. Some leadership is very welcome, as long as you don't feel like you need to brutally enforce it... but that's just my take on it. I don't quite understand why the consensus shifted from socialist to capitalist? I've read the arguments, but I don't see it. Those who had money in the previous phase, bought stuff and because of having done so, will earn even more money in this phase, if it's under a capitalistic regime. From last game, I believe mafia has the big $$ and I see no reason to think otherwise for this game. That said, it also feels dishonest to me in which manner Anaxagore 'enters' the political arena, first advocating socialist and just 1 running for each. Then dropping out (gesture of good will? Or just carefully molding a timepath?). Then running for capitalism, while someone else already 'claimed' that spot and mentioning it's fine to run with multiple for the same... It's not convincing me. I'll see what the next update brings

i had the impression that we were encouraged to invite friends and family to the D12 site. i have done so . i have more fun in the mafia games than in the risk games and have therefore invited them to these also. i do not play favorites in this or any other games and expect no special treatment from them. if you remember last game i caused the dead of firesword (son) 1st because he was a threat, i outed remlburc and got him lynched, i outed bluegoetz and almost succeeded in getting him lynched. i do not think anyone should have to justify their votes/actions more than anyone else and should not be intimidated by peer pressure to play the game in any way that they think would not help them win. if they are wise enough to see that having me around (as others have mentioned) for several more rounds is in their best interest then they (and everyone else) should play accordingly. i hope actions taken by anyone benefits me - - but not for the purpose of benefiting me. the fact that we can have no pm or outside communication eliminates any family influence i could have even tried to have. they did not know it but i did not need their votes to avoid lynching at this stage of the game. speculate if you will but be sure and ask others to justify any actions they take for the rest of the game also! honestly - i just think they are smarter than the rest of you (all but one) and you are jealous.

[/quote] I think that it is not smart to look at just one instance and make assumptions about the integrity of another player. I have no plans to base any decisions off of accusations of bias that have been raised but instead fully off of information I know about this game.

you also tried to get sympathy for having corona (admittingly) we all saw your desperation. im sure you are a great dad and they see your enjoyment in the game, and saw you desperate. my kids would probably do the same if i begged like that without specifically asking them. :) let's see how it goes tomorrow for ya. im sure you'll stick around
