I think it looks awesome!!

Cept for one thing. The northern brown region is badly colored. It looks like dog vomit :P

Love love love the background, can't wait to play in this!

@naathim, LOL.. you have a special way of describing things!
You can nickname that the DV region when you play it.

Here are the 2 to 5 player Capital positions suggested by me.
Have a good look at them and see if you can find alternative positions that are fairer and or more even?
The 6 to 9 will be done soon, unless anyone tackles them before I get back on it tomorrow.

Can you write down a quick tutorial of how you make your inner shadows on this map?

Complaints about capital positions.
2p: One of the capitals is on a border the other 1 isn't. If you move Kimball's capital to Alvena then there are 2 ways of 8 steps to get to Milly.
3p: Again Alger is on a border when the rest aren't. Alger's capital should be moved to Edmond to make a fair triangle of 7.

All the capital positions have caps on a border and caps off a border, so basically they are all bad.

Yes, I'm sorry but I agree with Matty. Capitals positions are not easy, and have to meet almost all the requirements in the Guide, when possible. Also, for 2p is specially important that the capitals have the same number of adjacent territories, for example Kennard and Edward could be good candidates, even when the path between them is shorter.

You know, I hadn't read the Cap's Locations Guide.. well thanks for the info PsymonStark. I have done a new 2 to 5 player Cap's suggestion. It is very difficult to find 3 adjacent territories on this map without being on a border, so I have done the best I can in making the 2p & 3p all have 3 adjacent territories and the 4 & 5 have limited options of mostly 3 territories adjacent. No longer are any Cap's on borders and where the adjacent territories are less for a cap, they are in a more prime location to compensate.

I think I have followed the guide as much as this map permits. If anyone can see a way of making the 4 & 5 Cap's more even / fair, please suggest the changes here?

I will start on the 6 to 9 in the meantime.

@cbt711, I will write down some graphic techniques for the community once I get Melee finished. I have little time on it with work and private life up's & down's and dedicate all my spare time to it. Italy will also flourish into full activity once The_Bishop returns, as I have done all the updates he requested.

If nobody can suggest better positions for the Cap's or has anything further to add to the gameplay / graphics, the Regions & Territories spread-sheet is done and I am ready to submit it.

I have posted an image of the spread sheet if someone would like to double check it? I have made the text & layout small and cropped for image size:

Your map is awesome mate. Good for you. Come on let's play it.
I have nothing to say about gameplay, because it looks very good, but good to see you back. Love the map. make more!

Thanks tram.
I really need some feedback on the Cap's and someone to proof read the spread sheet for spelling and accuracy?

The spreadsheet will be useful, but the input method is different, you have to input the territories one by one. I will check spelling when it is ready.

On caps position... it's difficult when you don't know that well the map :S I'll try and give them a look after.

I have submitted Melee to the Maps page. Anyone who wishes to check the connections etc, please do.
Can we start getting some feedback for the Cap's positions so that I can finalise them and get them on the map?

I've checked the adjacencies. Psymon is the best at checking spelling so I'll leave that for him. Still need someone to check the bonuses.

Let's just check the caps for obvious problems. We can change the locations after we've played some games on it and learned the map. Too bad the_bishop seems to be away. He's great at caps.

Another map input ^^ Great, good job aero!
