Basic Mafia game thread

i will be on the road driving home until about 3 pm monday and it will likely take me 2+ hours to get all the role assignments ready to send out - so day 1 will start a little late. i will send out all role assignments and announce the start of the game asap monday afternoon. i will wait until the bitter end before kicking any player that has not checked in (i am afraid some players signed up and thought it was a risk tournament and not a mafia game). i will also send a forth reminder PM (i have already sent them 3 and everybody has been on-line) in the morning to only those players that have not checked in.

[b]the game has begun. it is now Day 1.[/b] welcome to the small hamlet of basic/acidic. most of the time the residents of basic/acidic get along rather well - but at times they do seem to clash. lately, tensions have seemed to be rising between the 2 clans descended from the 2 men that founded the village many years ago = Bob Basic and Aaron Acidic. so much so that residents have started to turn on each other. suspicions are running high. since there has been so much intermarrying between the 2 factions over the years - nobody can really tell where people's allegiances lie. a small group has been seen late at night entering the vacant building at the end of Pudding Path but nobody seems to know what they are discussing til all hours of the night or who they are. we shall see how this all plays out. there will be a lynch vote day 1. don't worry, i know from experience that nobody will get over 50% of the vote since there is nothing/very little to base suspicions on yet. this is mainly to let you get the hang of lynch voting and to see how the results are posted. this is the one and only day you can vote for me (TLM) if you want to. but if you do - will i get mad and take it out on you??? - if you know that you will be out of town or out of internet ahead of time = just let me know and you will be penalized with extra votes on yourself. speaking of penalties - many times if a player violates the rules = the moderator will penalize that player in some way all the way up to making a mod kill. please do your best to read and follow the guidelines so as to make the game fair and fun for all. feel free to get your day 1 lynch votes in anytime between now and 21:00 if you feel i left something out or got something wrong = PM me.

yes - traditionally we put # in front of the lynch vote like this [b]# lynch name[/b] oh, and btw - if you get a PM opened by somebody and i am not included = just remind that player that the moderator should be included in all PMs, then reopen it w me in it.

[b]Lynch Abs[/b] He begged to be mafia in the [i]vetrens players group chat[/i] Tennesseelogman set up so we could coach players or something..long post and still havent gotten around to reading it. I am guessing it was about mentoring new players. I aint got time to read long messages let alone mentor players while hosting a tournament and getting moderating messages etc. Anyway I said nothing in the room, but ABS was begging to be mafia! He said it would be cool if all the vetren players could be mafia! Let's see him deny it. anyway. along with Him lynching me in my last game ("[i]Hood can't just come back after a break and win![/i]") and then he disappeared (went missing) and lost the game for me/town. basically ruining the effort required to be put in and making me not wanna play this game anymore as a player at least. He probably wont read this because he will lay low and probably miss a day. I am gonna bet that he got what he wanted.. to be mafia!
