More details to follow later but here is the basic game
all will be dealt a card and you will be the value and suit of that card. we will not be using any face cards or aces. There will be a target number (let's say 12). You will have to form a group that totals 12. So if you are a 4, then you will need to find and end up with you and only others that will total 12 - for instance you need 8 more = that could be an 8 or two 4s, or a 3, 3, and 2, etc. to try and clarify, in this example, if there are 6 players left - you (4) , a 3, another 3, a 2. another 2, and another 4 = 4, 3, 3, 2, 2, 4 = you would need to kill a 2 and 4 to win. or you could kill both 3s and win. by this point in the game you may or may not know what the other players cards are. there also may or may not be ways for you win other than reaching the target number.
Everyone will have abilities that you will purchase with your starting money. the common abilities of kill, protect, investigate, distract, and extra votes will be included along with 1-2 more and will cost differing amounts based on perceived value. voting "no lynch" will cost money and so will missing a vote.
If a player gets the most lynch votes on days 1 or 2 = they will not die but will have some of their PM information and/or abilities purchased made public in the forum.
Other normal mafia terms apply. Forum posts and PMs are allowed anytime. PMs must include the Dealer = me
This will be a game of teams vs a mafia against town game.
New players will be encouraged. If a new player wants to play but is not sure of how it might go = he can be partnered with a willing experienced player and they will play as one. Same for any player who thinks they might be out of pocket for some portion of the game. More to come on this later.
Sign-up will run for at least 1 week. Cards will be dealt next weekend and you will buy your abilities over the weekend and the game will start on Sunday night June 18 (unless an established player needs an extra day or 2)
