EXPLANATION: [spoiler] of these very building blocks am I built. A letter (as in mail) is made up of letters (alphabet), which are a type of building block. I have many shapes and sizes. I can be thick or thin. I can be any colour. This is clear. I have no wings, yet I fly to far fields. I have no arms, yet I bear heavy burdens. I have no tongue, yet I tell of terrible ancient tales. Flying = Air Mail bear heavy burdens = carry deep secrets, as in mail tell of tales = letters create stories I am sometimes deposited in various containers, but in these containers I reside for only a short time. Deposited in letterboxes. In one of my forms, you will see me and recognise me. In another of my forms, you will see me without recognition. I am the unknown in another of my forms. You recognise letters from your own languages, but not other languages. The letter "x" is used to represent the unknown. In many of my forms, I have a brother, either older or younger. Tenuous reference to Capital and Lower-case letters. I can represent anything. Letters can stand for anything, e.g. V98! During waking hours, you are seeing me nearly all of the time. This is clear. I can be very comforting, but also very unpleasant. A letter (as in mail) can bring comforting or unpleasant news. My arrival is often awaited, even when I am present in abundance. You often wait for a letter to arrive (as in mail), when surrounded by letters (as in alphabet)! It's a hard riddle, but if you look hard enough at the wording you will see the answer. Certainly if you look at the wording you will see the answer - letters!![/spoiler] I'm very proud of this riddle - congrats @Dracarys for the solution and @BETA for getting close!

A man and a woman were driving in their car when it broke down. The man decided to go for help at a gas station a few miles back. He made sure nobody was in the car, rolled all the windows up, and locked all of the sedan's doors. He went off, but when he came back, his wife was dead, and there was a stranger in the car. No physical damage was done to the car, so how did the stranger get in?

And this one: A man was driving through a town with both headlights broken. The whole town had lost power(no one had any generators) so no lamps or streetlights were working. It was also very cloudy outside and the moon wasn't very bright. A dog walked in the middle of the road and the man swerved out out of the way. How did the man know the dog was there?(dog didn't bark and the person didn't have a flashlight)
