On Thursday take 4 forward and one backwards. which leaves you 3 steps in. On the next Wednesday, take 8 steps forward, and as the GPS would say "You've reached your destination"[/spoiler][/spoiler][/spoiler]

@CBT [spoiler]On Thursday walk forward 4 and take one back ( 5 steps and 3 steps closer. Then next Wednesday walk 8 steps forward and you've reached point B before having to take 7 steps back (im assuming there's a typo at the end of Wednesdays instructions where you have to take 7 steps back for every 7 steps forward) So my answer would be 5+8=13 and you would reach point B on a wednesday[/spoiler]

Eh, and my answer? [spoiler]1: Start on Thursday walking effectively to A+3. 2:Keep walking on Wednesday, reach B in the 8th step, then backwards 7 to A+4. 3:Turn around, and walk on Thursday again, reaching A before recoiling (or not, as we already are in A). My amount of steps, 5+8=13 to get to B, 7+4=11 to get back to A.[/spoiler]

I have a feeling this could go on forever sooo [spoiler=answer][spoiler=Don't be mad at me, it's a riddle after all][spoiler=last chance to take high road and not give in to the spoiler]Any day, 11 steps. Take your forward steps from A towards B. Then turn around and take your backwards steps again from A towards B. On any day, in any combination, it takes 11 steps. Some forward, some backward[/spoiler][/spoiler][/spoiler]

[spoiler=other option][spoiler=without turning around]Tuesday night, take 4 of the 5 steps forward, and wait until Midnight. Now it's Wednesday rules, you can take 7 steps forward. In both cases you don't finish the forward steps so are not required to walk backwards. 11 steps, and if you time it right (like right at midnight on step 4) you can do all 11 steps in sequence. [spoiler]I thought the Thursday/ Wednesday combo was good. (post #372) But here's a trick answer - on Wednesday, take 8 steps forward, turn around, and complete your journey backwards - so its 11 steps. (or the same procedure on the weekend. or just any days. NO WAIT!! On Tuesday take FOUR steps forward. (now no backwards steps ;)) and on Wednesday - take 7 steps forward. and you've reached point B before you step backwards!! Or even 6 steps on the weekend, and 5 on Tuesday.....:P [/spoiler] EDIT[u]S[/u] ADDED
