IIIOIII BLOODLINE OF KINGS IIIOIII

.*. Holding a region without fighting for the objectives will not give you ultimate power .*.

I have spoken to both Vexer and Thorpe About the Kings map.

This will require some codeing programing to be done.

Vexer likes the idea and suggests I start a separate thread, for discussions to see if we can gather enough support for the project.

Thorpe said he can help with the layering and Photoshop graphics.

If we can gather enough support and the programmers are on board to help it will be done

I have a big gig comming up in 1 month so I wont be online as much as I have been, due to the priority being that I have to focus all my energies on rehearsal and preparing for the show.

However that being said, I will get the thread started as soon as I can over the next week or so, but I want to spend some time writting out a better and more detailed proposal with some examples on how all the extra bonus objectives will work in game before I do.

After Xmas and during the new year I have a bit more time to start the drawing board so I can give a more visual aspect of the kings map and how it could work.

[*]This will be the detailed outline of the concept.

Included the grey zones and no spawn zones in more detail with the explanation on how the preset fortifications will come into play.

It will also explain the historical regions set around Egypt and babylon, as well the other nations that went to war.

I may even provide a list of the Kings and pharaohs from the different dynasties.

Lastly I want to include a explanation of the importance of the Great pyramid, its obelisks and how these objectives come into play.

I will explain the sphinx and temples also with reasoning the importance of holding them and their benefits.

Concluding with the reason great nations went to war to battle for control of the objectives.

Send me any image info you have, I too do a lot of layering and photoshop stuff, used to be a graphic website designer.

Awesome bro, I was seeking a team of 2 graphical designers for this project. With you and Thorpe on board that's the Photoshop side sorted. We won't wast time on any graphical work though until we can gain support from the programmer's, as with out there consent it can't happen. It will be a geographically correct map so all that stuff won't be to hard to get together once we get the approval.

Great, when you or anyone else has a map to make, give me the details and I'll knock it out in no time!
What I really need from the programmers or Thorpe is size details, the rest is easy, I can even make it high contrast for all player colours.
I can make 2 versions identical, but one with an overlaying grid pattern x pixels apart for placement of troop circles in the program.
Anyway, anyone looking for a graphical map, including the staff, give me the details and I'll make it happen!

Well...gee...I am just starting learning Photoshop and have been using Paint.Net for all my maps, but I want to raise my bar and make better maps. I have no clue and trying to learn...the text, and then the layers...how to do it. PM if you want to do some things for the maps I have and I will send it to you and see what you can do with my maps I am working on. I might have to make each layer to a jpeg for it to work or is there a way to convert Paint.Net programs to PS.

You can convert paint.net file to photoshop files using a plugin for paint.net. Just search for it. Not all files convert properly.

I have a map idea: Western Europe, 1914. There can be four zones/continents, one for each major power involved at the beginning of WW1 (Britain, France, Germany, and Austria-Hungary). Each of these zones would be further separated by rivers, areas around major cities, and defensive fortified "lines" (ie. the Hindenburg Line).

I think a third Europe map would be a bit overkill, but I also know there are some people that would love to see more historical maps, so yeah. Not sure if your concept works out though.

Something that I would really like to see and I feel is missing from this site is some kind of "siege" map. Well, this might sound a bit weird, but even though we have some cities we can play on (NY, SF), they are modern cities and do not really work in my imagination of a city under siege. What I would like is to have more of a medieval siege. Maybe something like King's Landing would be cool or any other stronghold/city that is more medieval-ish.

(ooh, the idea for a "siege" game mode is sprouting, that would be so super-duper-awesome!)

EDIT: for those that don't know what King's Landing is or how it looks:

Here's a new concept map I just finished, a WWII German 88 Battery Map, where Americans have to attack it and Germans have to defend it.

Nope, this list is for maps you might want to see happen but it's nothing more than that. If you have a concrete idea, or even examples (like you do), you should make a thread for your map. Just like what Clarke did.
