@dsds7292: It was intentional that the bedrooms would be hard to control except by holding the family room, which would be part of a region bonus for someone else. I would prefer no area bonus to be able to be defended by only one territory. I'm still working on ways to fix the bedrooms and guesthouse.

The more that I think about the floor plan the more I realize that I want different connections. So below is my new idea of how to balance the house map. This will likely come with a significant chance in layout, so I'll get back to work.

Concept change for layout of bonus areas (each area will have between 4-6 territories):

Next post will be my progress on version 2 of my map. I had to make two minor changes to the connections in my previous diagram. So here's how the region connections look now:

I already have names for all of the rooms / outdoor areas (territories). I am hoping to find a program that will allow me to make decent lettering. I already have an idea of region bonuses, but I would really like feedback about it now anyway. I'll update it when I have that part of the map ready, it's late so won't be tonight. And most importantly, I would greatly appreciate feedback regarding territory connections. It'll make more sense once I label them, I know.

I'm already noticing at least two colors I will likely change. And, I totally forgot to change the colors in the region connection diagram to match changes in the map, hopefully it's not confusing.

Red, pink and purple regions can't all go on the same side of the map-- the color is too similar. And since grass is the background, having a green region outside might not be a good idea. Also, yellow would contrast better if it were in the main house. you could make the guest house pink.
I am still thinking about the hall connections and bonuses. I'll get back to you.

Just realized that I forgot to label the outdoor area connectors. Guess I have a bit more work to do.

Version 2.4 linked as image at bottom of post.

I have changed the colors of regions in the attempt to make them more obvious.

I have added a pool (far right, second territory from the top) and a driveway (if you can't find this, sorry) texture along with a grass texture for the outside. The pool and driveway textures are surrounded by the territory color.

I can update the added textures (see above paragraph) quite easily, so if they don't look good for grass, asphalt, or a pool let me know.

I know, I know, still need to put the territory names up so you can respond easier... I'm working on it.

Just trying to keep you guys updated with my work and any input that may be helpful in the development of this map is very appreciated.

I have noticed that the brightness setting on my left and right monitor are different. This caused a significant difference between how I view this map depending on which monitor I use to edit the map. This makes it extremely useful to get input from other individuals on shades of colors used. But, if you're still reading please comment on the inclusion of a different texture for the outside, asphalt of the drive way, and the texture for the pool.

Most importantly, I know that "connections" of hallways and outside areas are lacking. I plan to have this corrected in the next update I post as well as text labels for each territory.

Colours look nice and bright on my monitor. Looking good. :-)
