 You dont have to be the best to give your best....wish i knew the latin equivilant now that would be clever..   ()-;

I am sure Fendi will let us know when its ready, I think they are like normal games 24hr games so you will get a notification in " my games" when it's your turn.

I don't really care for caps because of two reasons. 1st, I generally lose, 2nd there's always some meatball who sees 12 armies in a territory, freaks out and attacks leaving their cap under funded and causes me to lose. How about a year long triple elimination no cards caps tourney? I'll wait all of you out.

Fendi and myself have been discussing this upcoming Tournament and I believe a few changes are going to be made to the overall setup of the Tournament. Before I discuss the way the Tournament will most likely be setup please understand the these games are taxing on Fendi with more than just this to deal with.

The players in the Tournament have been ranked from number 1 to number 16. I calculated the rankings by divding the amount of Skill Points each player has by the amount of games they have played. Which will result in telling me how many Skill Points a each player gets per game on average. This may not be a completely accurate reading of a persons competitive skill but this is the best basis I had to go off of. The way the rankings came out look like this:

16) Crystal - .0104
15) MAPS - .0144
14) Pntbttr - .0256
13) Votazap - .0273
12) jarjar1989 - .0279
11) yourego - .0287
10) spacecowboy - .032
09) Matty - .037
08) Fendi - .038
07) Sekretar - .0435
06) Holt - .045
05) marcoxa - .050
04) Brewdog - .053
03) thaithai - .099
02) Vexer - .164
01) –NoXoN- - .188

The number to the right of each player is the result of the equation I was telling you about.

Secondly, although marcoxa has went through a lot to prepare this diagram to show his vision of how the Tournament would look for a double elimination I do not believe we will be using that for this Tournament. Instead I believe what we are going to do is a 2-Win Tournament.

In explanation, The 16 competitors will be broken into 4 clusters like they were in the last Tournament. Instead of a single win getting you into the final game you will be required to win 2 games in order to advance. The 4 clusters will play multiple games and the first competitor from each cluster to win 2 games will advance to the final game. The final game concept will stay the same as the first round of the Tournament whereas you will be required to win 2 games to get the Championship.

This may be a deviation from the orginal setup of how the Tournament was supposed to work but this way will save a lot of time and energy especially on Fendi who will have to manually setup each game that is played.

I am posting this on here to hear the feedback on how the Tournament will more than likely go. If you have any problems with this setup than please let me know in this forum post. Thank you and have a good day.

sounds good to me.

Sorry marcoxa, we do appreciate your help even if we don't use your idea this time. Keep it though for the future. Someday we will get a programmer that can automate tournaments and this won't be an issue.

Don't know how I am in 5th but whatever lol. Ya good Idea vexer. Then maybe we could have monthly tournaments or something
Holt wrote:
Yeah marcoxa I really do appreciate the idea it would just call for a lot more work and time. I would like to see it though in a future Tournament for sure.

Make him do the work!...lol
95.5% of the time you kill a players cap before your 2nd turn in... you fail or die next
Matty wrote:
Yes Marcoxa, I also wondered why ever I wasn't last on that list, but apparently it helps not to play too many games ;)

Also just a small note - 4 players are going to have to win two games.
That means:
If everyone who wins a game also wins his second game
(so no-one wins just one game)
Then you will need 8 games to reach the final.

So thats a total of 9 games - only one less than the double elimination.

But if there is only one person who manages to win a game, but not a second one, there will be as much games to set up.

And if 4 players manage to win only 1 game, you will have to set up alot (3 - on 10 games that is already 30%) more games...

Maybe im wrong, its just a thought ;)

What do you mean Marty? Your on the list. Ya I thought about that before. The old setup has a setup where no matter who wins you have 10 games and no more or less. With the new setup there is no guarantee. It could be as many as 25 games. Not to mention that when someone wins there is going to be a huge target on there back in the next game, and that could cause unfair gameplay.

I'm not saying that we shouldn't do this setup I'm just letting you know the potential problems it has
