Welcome to Dominating12.com, a site for playing the classic board game Risk online (Not affiliated with Hasbro's official Risk game).

There are two ways to play, live games and long term games. Live games have 5 minute turns and require you to stay and play the game until there is a winner. Live games take anywhere from 10 minutes to 90 minutes depending on the number of players.

Long term games have 24 hour turns. You can play many long term games at the same time and only have to log in once a day for a few minutes to take your turns.

You can play up to 5 games at a time for free. For unlimited games you can purchase a premium account by clicking on 'Premium' in the top right corner of the page.

To play a live game, click on 'Live (speed) games' in the upper right corner of the page and then click on the game you want to join. If there are no games already waiting for players then you can create a new game by clicking toward the middle of the page on 'Create a game'. You may want to start a 2 player game until you get used to the interface. In two player games one third of the territories have 3 neutral armies on them. Neutral armies are grey in color and do not attack. Although you can attack them.

If a player misses two turns in a row then they are kicked out of the game and all of their territories turn in to grey neutral territories.

Ranks on this site are not given automatically. When you win games you receive rating. You also receive battle tokens at the end of each game. When you have earned enough rating and tokens you can click on 'Upgrades' and purchase the rank you have earned using the tokens. Ranks do not cost real money.

To see how many points you have gained or lost at the end of a game, click on the game log tab which is next to the chat tab.

The site has rules that must be followed. In short, no multiaccounting, no cheating, no offensive, disgusting, or vulgar language, no name calling or harassing players, no racism, sexism or bigotry, no spamming, you must play to win, and don't miss your turns. For a detailed explanation of the rules, click on the 'Information' link toward the top middle of the page and then on the 'Rules' tab.

If you have any questions you can send a message to one of the staff members for help. Go to 'Information' and 'Staff' to find their names.

there is almost no new player that there is no problem if it is fair play then it is vulgar language

Those "bad" players have "ego"....and they think they are so smart and want to win, win fast and win many.  They don't realize that to be a good player....you need to be "cool as a cucumber", be patient and diplomatic so that players are less likely to hit you (because you're not being a bum). I don't think they realize that diplomacy is a big part of the game, on how you play and how others perceive you. These players get insulted when you attack them even though strategically it was the right thing to do. It's unfortunate and it's their demise.

Maintargeting and suiciding are common occurrences with new players. So is illegal teaming among players who are friends IRL, but play on opposite teams. Then there are the really odd cases. One player for instance sent me and another regular an ‘ancient curse’ in a pm, in his native tongue, after we won a game against him. He’s still on the site. No ban or nothing.

So what to do? I think the intro message, for all its merits, is a bit too long. Subheaders or bold may also help in terms of readability.

Another option is to include more of the intro message in the red box that is visible in every game. The one with the rules in it.

Or we could add more ways to report players, more scenarios, so the issues are more nuanced, which could make it easier (and faster) for admins to determine what went down in a flagged game, and why.
