Very cool!
Maybe there's still something a bit prone to discrepancies though? Not sure; this is what I'm talking about:
https://dominating12.com/tournament/3https://dominating12.com/tournament/3/participantsI've only checked it for myself (because, then I am sure that I know what it's supposed to say :p)
It says:
Name | Pending | Active | Won | Lost | Draw | Total |
AlexCheckMate | 0 | 0 | 1 | 2 | 1 | 4 |
Need/want an empty lineHowever.. I joined the website January 7th and didn't make the D12 list till March 8th - So I've only been in the March, April and May editions (3, not 4). With the first of these games (
https://dominating12.com/game/898081 ) voided from the D12 Dominator tournament after an unfortunate occurance (so then maybe it should be 2? instead of 4).
I guess the code merely looks at the games which are "dragged" within the "Tournament framework" and this causes for the discrepancies? Which makes me suppose that this game (
https://dominating12.com/game/907281 ), which was never played (wrong setting - DM instead of Assassination), caused for the draw? and the added +1 to me (and everyone who was in that game?) for how many games I've been involved in? There also appears to be an "empty" game in there (
https://dominating12.com/game/917407 ) which has no effect at all (because there are no players in that game?).
Obviously, it doesn't really matter at all - it's just something in the stats, it has no effect on gameplay.
Then as for a suggestion to the layout (will be a matter of taste - maybe poll it over the community?); I'd rather see the colums like this:
Name/Won/Active/Lost/Draw/Total/Pending (I'm not completely sure... but pending/total doesnt really do much? apart from in Assassination tournaments (or something else with a knock out system)). Thought behind it? Main thing I want to see, quickly, is who's in the lead and who can still challenge him/her/them - other stats are just 'extra'. This should just be an easy shift around in the coding - if desired. What might be even better, is to add an extra column for possible points (as in Hoodlums excel thing:
http://tournament.x10host.com/ ) - this would however require some coding. Anyhow, as said - I'm very happy with the addition!

“Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love. How on earth can you explain in terms of chemistry and physics so important a biological phenomenon as first love? Put your hand on a stove for a minute and it seems like an hour. Sit with that special girl for an hour and it seems like a minute. That's relativity.”
