I'm not sure whether what I'm seeing matches your descriptions of the new info bar - The reason why I ask is because the text has very little contrast to the pale bar - Is this what you guys are seeing?

my guess is that you don't have the new css file. You need to do a full refresh CTRL + F5 and if you can't get that to work then clear your browser cache.

If you tell us what browser you are using (something you should ALWAYS do when reporting things) then I can give you specific instructions on how to do a full dump cache and refresh.

I agree with Matty, is it possible to view it without the red bar?

But nice work on the overall idea and look.

Thanks Vexer, CTRL + F5 worked :)

Got it now! (click to show)

Looks good! I like it a lot! :)

Ok just saying, I thought the red bar separated it from all exterior info, and made it more easily identified as in-game-info. But I didn't see the comparison/contrast without a red bar yet..

Also, on the shot shown by V98, the game number is slightly raised. I think that that improves reading across.

Ok here it is without the red bar and with a shadow underneath.

And here's what it looks like with the top settings bar grey:

I think I like the black bar best as it's now, although it doesn't really fit with all other pages on this site (they all have a white bar). Also the bigger game number looks weird, making it smaller though is worse :P

I like both updates. The black bar looks the most suitable because now it is coherent with the lower bar, which makes the map appear to be in a frame. The downside with it is that everything looks dark..

The white/greyish bar is easier to notice and looks D12-ish but is not really coherent with the other bar, which makes the page appear to be out of balance...

And I kind of like the larger game number, it brings balance to the top and bottom bar.

I agree they both look good but maybe you can change the colour of your troops in the screenshot @Vexer because it may just be the blackness of all your troops that makes the colours fit well lol

There was a symmetry with the all black bar - that both information bars were the same color.

I still think the black one is best as well. Red looks weird, good, but weird.

Hmm..in this case I'm afraid the black bar is better than the red one. This somehow reminds me of a person who has started their turn in a game

How about it's black, or better yet D12 textured dark gray
Spoiler (click to show)

Until there are 10 to 30 seconds left in the turn (live game) or 10-30 minutes left in the turn (long term), and THEN it turns red. (Vexer and Matty are going to start hating me soon)

But seriously, that would be awesome, and really improve the gameplay. Give players a nice kick of adrenaline when they're about to run out of time.

But if it's static at the top, they might not even see it turn red, so I guess this should be a suggestion for the scroll locked bottom bar.

Well, this thread needs to be revived!

[Revised: Waiting for the new Join Game Tab!]

Yes, we really appreciate all the programming and improvements you do for the site, Matty.
Is there any update for this?
