I guess that'll be fair, but is it worth the trouble to implement - is it any important?

I think that if it's not very hard, it should be implemented. We are always trying to reduce the number of leaving players, and I think this is a new incentive.

I have been thinking of an idea concerning team chat. Many newcomers seem unable to find Team chat on another tab and sometimes you mistype tactics on the Game chat. To avoid this, I thought it could be good to have only one chat tab, and divide it in two parts, with game chat on the left, and team chat on the right, with independent send messages boxes. This would minimize those problems and would also reduce the number of tabs (more space for low resolutions), make that every game has the same number of tabs, and more importantly reduce the number of clicks that a player has to do to read both chats. The only con I find is that I don't know if it would fit for small resolutions...

Psymon you must have a decent resolution monitor. The average monitor is still only 1366 pixels wide because of cheap laptop screens. I think about half of our users have that size or lower. I don't think it would fit well. But the idea is good. The problem is that I wouldn't know if it works well enough until after trying and trying takes a lot of effort. Perhaps someone could photoshop it to see how it fits in a 1366x768 screen.

I agree that it's a good idea to transfer winning points from a teammate who gets kicked to the other teammates. I haven't seen matty's code for determining team points. If it's written one way then it will be somewhat easy, if the other then it would take a little work. Fortunately at least the log has an entry for a player getting kicked so it won't be hard to get the data needed. It certainly isn't a feature needed before team games go beta. And this is something I could probably figure out. Matty has a long list of important things to do.

@Vexer, just resize your browser so that you have a scrollbar on the bottom - that's the minimum resolution we support.
And yes, it's very small :)

I know. I now managed to get to my computer (was out of town) so here you go:

@Matty, 1024x768 would necessarily need that scrollbar anyway :S

Well it's definitely not ideal for 1366x768 monitors. If it was coded it would have to be an option and not the default which would take even more effort but it would be nice.

No way does that work on my laptop, looks great at work though on my dual xeon, dual quadro GPU driving my 1980x1080 monitor.

Also, logistically, I like the tab better. What if you're just typing in the wrong one, while looking at the other. I think changing the color of the pane for the team chat would differentiate them to help with the accidental typing in the wrong chat (which I have done). I don't really mind the extra tab, and think it looks more professional than two side by side imho.
PsymonStark wrote:
If you look what you type you can know if the box is the right one. Harder to mistype, I think. Anyway the color change could be a nice implementation too, and much easier.

Also, it's not everything about looks, as I said before it would be dramatically reducing the number of clicks of chatting. I don't know about you guys, but I found having to change tabs pretty annoying when you just want to write another thing, and you could do that without having to reach your mouse. More time-consuming. It's true though that the 1366x768 version is not the best idea.

Meh, just let me know when Team game play is setup for all members then I'll play more.

@Psymon stark: I am not going to implement that anytime soon, because there are more important things (like getting team games out there in the first place, as they are still extremely restricted).

However, if you can catch me being bored in a few monts, just remind me then :)

So for as far as I know there is only one loophole left for free tokens (a pain to fix, and quite unnescessary, will do so in a year or 5).
I'll bet you a hundred tokens you can't find that one xD

both players win a same time game the same moment!

hmmmm
and in this game, we only received 20 tokens... hmm

Can i get my hundred tokens?
Also we each got points and lost none :)
Matty wrote:
Nope sorry, you found another one. Yours is not really repeatable though, so not a way to get infinite tokens.

Things I would love to see for team games.

Ascending +1 cards. (hosted ladders/tournaments and played for years with this card setting that makes it perfect for team games.)

Restriction for low attendance players to join.
