HOODTOWN — DEVELOPMENT UPDATEvideo previewThanks to everyone who has already signed up or asked questions.
I’m currently working on the external HoodTown website, which will serve as the main reference guide for the game. The actual game will still be played here on Dominating12 through the forum and private-message system.
The external site currently includes:
• Information for all 40 possible roles
• Rules, mechanics, investigation results and victory conditions
• Player tips and strategy
• A phase countdown clock
• The 20 anonymous HT identities, avatars and D12 profile links
• A private host-management area
• Automatic role-message generation
• Day voting and Night-action ledgers
• Automatic Night-resolution assistance
• Copy-ready private results and public morning reports
• A separate test mode for checking Day 0, Night 1 and the first morning before launch
The game will begin with
Day 0 — Meet and Greet. There will be no lynch during Day 0, although the Jailor will be able to select someone to detain for Night 1.
The anonymous HT accounts are one of the main features of this game. They remove existing reputations and previous-game history from the equation. You may even choose to disguise your usual writing style, imitate another type of player, or develop a completely different personality for your HoodTown identity.
Town,
Mafia and
Neutral roles will each have their own objectives, abilities and possible paths to victory.
I’ll answer the current questions and provide the HoodTown website link when it is ready for players to view.

How does the switching of username work. Will we have to log in and out with our normal user name to play on the risk side or post in the other sections of the forum?
Yes. You’ll be privately assigned an anonymous HT account for HoodTown, while your normal account will still be used for Risk games and the rest of the forum.
Technically, you could log in and out whenever you want to switch accounts. However, I recommend keeping the HT account open in a separate browser or browser profile—for example:
• Your normal account in Chrome
• Your HT account in Firefox, Edge or another Chrome profile
That should make switching much easier and reduce the chance of accidentally posting from the wrong account and revealing your identity.
The HT accounts are restricted to the Mafia section and cannot be used to play Risk games.
