​A suffocating, sulfurous fog rolls off the surrounding woods, swallowing the sun and plunging Salem into an ominous twilight. The heavy iron doors of the meetinghouse slam shut as the town clock strikes—the Conspiracy Phase has officially seized the village!

​THE BLACK CAT'S VENGEANCE
​Before anyone can react to the blinding mist, the jet-black cat trailing behind Notoriouspat rears back, its eyes glowing like dying embers. With a piercing screech, it leaps onto his chest, claws digging deep as a violent gust of wind tears through his coat!
​The tempest shreds his pockets, dragging his 5th and final face-down Tryal card into the air and slamming it against the executioner's post!
​TRYAL RESULT:
​Notoriouspat: Tryal Card #5 — NOT A WITCH
​A collective cry rings through the fog! Though the parchment burns with holy light, reading NOT A WITCH, the tragic reality sets in—Notoriouspat has no hidden cards left to shield his soul. Consumed entirely by the Black Cat's curse and the town's rampant hysteria, Notoriouspat drops to the cold earth, officially ELIMINATED from the game!
​All blue cards in front of him are discarded to the winds. As his body falls still, the Magistrate steps into the center of the square: "Were you ever a Witch?" Notoriouspat replies, "NEVER A WITCH".

​With Notoriouspat's fall, absolute chaos takes hold. Driven by pure survival instinct, each remaining citizen reaches through the blinding mist to snatch 1 face-down Tryal card from the person standing directly ahead of them in the ring!

​NO CARDS ARE TO BE PLAYED. The village square remains frozen in terror until all card selections are locked in and redistribution is complete!

well stinkers, i took the witch card from vic and threw it in the pile. i do not know who will get it. maybe she will get it back. maybe i will get it. maybe a current witch will get it.
