I don't believe in luck, as I studied a lot about casino management, I know there is no such thing as luck; only odds and possibilities. Only gamblers believe in luck, and think that luck is the only way to beat the casino.

I really want to believe that that is the case but recently I have been getting terrible dice, losing so many games, everything just went out of my way, which is so terrible.
Just about a week ago, my streak is nice, I gained about 300-400 points, win almost half the game I played (and they are not 2p). And now it feels like I am hitting rock bottom after such great week.

So, is luck a thing? Should I stop playing until my luck is back?

In my opinion, luck is a thing. But since you can't do anything to change it, you might as well continue playing. For example, I'm on something like a 15 game losing streak, but I play on! :)

Luck is a true thing, it even exists in casino's, even though they are completely regulated, and everyone betting is playing to lose (in the long run, if you bet a single time you CAN win, though most often you won't).

In risk it's a matter of, well, risk. What odds do you gamble on, sometimes even though you have good odds to win, you lose. That's bad luck. Sometimes all the odds are against you, but you still win. That's some good luck.

But play with strategy and in the long run the good luck and bad luck will even out.

I believe that normally a good player will choose strategically their moves and if he does so decently will have more «bad luck» than «good luck». Just because he won't be prone to make moves that need «good luck» and will be making moves where «bad luck» is always there. Plus, psychology.

It's definitely a "thing", I get days when everything goes right and days where everything goes wrong.

As someone who has done just about everything, in the 1980's I went through a gambling phase and had days when I could bet on anything and win. e.g. a 6 dog race where 2 dogs were so below form they were actually priced at 12-1 each and a £1 reverse forecast bet (£2) brought me a £144 return. I placed another bet on the same day for £2 and won another £56. I have a vivid memory of that day, because it was like all the planets lined up. Every thing I did went right that day, even though it was all against the odds.

There were lots of huge ones too, one of which was when there had been a '10 car pile up' at night on the motorway and all vehicle lights were out, I hit the 'pile up' at 70mph and found a way through where I broke only my wing mirrors.
I had so little breaking time, I stopped 30 yards the other side of the 'pile up'.

I start to believe that I got so addicted with this game, I start to think of my relationship with it, like a gambler/casino relationship.

During my peak time, I got really nice dice when I needed it, killing 88 with 60 or something like that. Then now, I get 0-5 so often, it is frustrating, and that doesn't happen until everyone is about get 4/5 cards.

Maybe I should consider replacing my mouse with a rabbit foot.

I don't believe in Luck like an external factor. When everything goes right it's me, my good spirit, who creates good situations, not the "Luck".
When everything goes wrong, well... I don't know. Anyway I would revert 4960's assumption, I believe hope gives luck!

I don't believe in luck either but do use the word often, an when I use the word luck...hope and/or pray is usually in the sentence somewhere :)....I hope luck is with me today...for me is same as saying... I hope the odds are with me today. Same as my signature below..u could swap the word luck for odds..
Luck,is the defining factor of a good strategy

the only problem with luck, is that often (at least in RISK), your good luck is anothers bad luck or vice versa. Sure the odd fella who put down 1000£ on Leicester winning the tourney, will be concidered lucky - all other similar bets for another team not so.
