My all time top three were Tora Tora Tora, Black Hawk Down, and We were Soldiers, but after watching Lone Survivor, and reading the book...definitely all time favorite!

If Band of Brothers was a movie, that would definitely be number 1!!
But I guess my top 3 (random order) would be Full Metal Jacket, Saving Private Ryan and Waterloo (Italian movie from 1970).
But like LordVader, I have read the book Lone Survivor and would love to see the movie as well!

Red Dawn certainly counts. I haven't seen the remake. The original is good although dated and a bit cheesey now.

Yeah I didn't even know there was a remake. Not sure how they could recapture the moment when you see the soviet gunship for the first time. As a kid it blew my mind lol

I know its a fictional movie, but Patriot is awesome... Gives kinda an idea of what real Americans were like and how they sacrificed everything for freedom. Man, would love that kind of spirit today in America now
