I stand behind my answer. No matter what 2 cards you are dealt, it is possible to get any straight. Now granted, if you are playing the board, your opponent has the same straight but you still have it...

Okay I will challenge you to "deal" me any 2 cards and then challenge me to get any straight and I will tell you how it is possible.

p.s. Its a great way to make money from your poker playing friends. They will try to argue that you only need to use one card in holdem but you have to expose both cards to claim a pot and the dealer will be forced to announce a 10 high straight

So if I am holding a 5 & 10, and the board is showing: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and I announce after I am called that I am "playing the board" the dealer is still required to see my pocket cards? I didn't know that...

Anyway here is the only sneaky way I can still make a 9 high straight if I am holding a 5 & 10 and all cards are exposed at the end of the hand:

Lets say I am dealt the 5H and the 10C. After the river the board shows: 6H, 7H, 8H, 9H, 2C...

My 5H gives me a 9 high Straight Flush and the 10 becomes trash. I know this includes a flush, but my straight is only to the 9 as you challenged me...

Yeah nice  but a straight flush is still a straight flush. Its a whole different hand rank in hold em

Here's a riddle. I don't know if it was ever brought up on this site or not, and its not really a puzzle, but here goes -

A census taker comes to a house. knocks on the door. A woman answers the door. The census taker asks her - how many people live here, and what are their ages?
The woman answers that she has three daughters. The product of their ages equals 36, and the sum of their ages equals the address next door. The man writes some things in his pad, says thank you, and leaves. A minute later he comes back and says "I need more information." The woman responds "My oldest daughter is sleeping upstairs" The man says "aha!" , fills in the correct ages in his form, and leaves.
 
What are the ages of the daughters? And how did you come up with it? (prove it)
