Puzzle Time!

This one's not too hard but it's a fun puzzle. Make the following statements true. The rules are that you can add any operation symbols but no numbers, so +, -, √, etc. are all ok (but no cube roots, etc). The second equation is solved as an example. 1 1[b] [/b] 1 = 6 2 + 2 + 2 = 6 3 3 3 = 6 4 4 4 = 6 5 5 5 = 6 6 6 6 = 6 7 7 7 = 6 8 8 8 = 6 9 9 9 = 6 Have fun, and if you include the answer put it in spoiler text :)

Matty, there are actually two legal solutions to the 8's. Keep trying. Hint: [spoiler]One way involves a lot of parenthesis, a square root and a factorial. The other way uses parenthesis and two square roots.[/spoiler]

And once you've finished Vexer's ideas. [spoiler] you can also solve it with 2 factorials. [/spoiler]

I thought about it, and found a nice solution for the eights: [spoiler] 8 - √(√(8 + 8)) = 6 [/spoiler] Edit: Ow, and another (I assume this is the other one Vexer mentioned): [spoiler] (√(8 + 8/8))! [/spoiler]

I can't see any solution for the 1 1 1 = 6 above? Here's one: Using 8 exactly eight times ( 88888888 ) to make = 1000. You can only use + / . (decimal point) mathematical symbols?

Well I guess I was too excited my brain substituted 10 for 8 :P I will try again. I hope there is more than 1 solution because I already saw yours.
