Just a guess, but I think that younger people are more likely to share their age here.
Possibly because they not yet fully understand the risk of sharing personal information on the internet ;)

Very possible. I, for one, do know the risks. My school has an anti-cyberbullying/anti-bullying week, where we learn all about sharing personal info. After all, every (smart and rational) school knows that every kid is online now ;)
