This map was not bad. It's a pity to see it abandoned.

It is weird seeing 'Joca' when he was 'lider' and of course leader of the Balkan players here, you could say the Daddy.
Anyway, politics should never come into a game especially when that game will be played by people from all different nations and all different religions.
This map looks good, it's strange that the maker just disappeared, I hope he is okay and can come back and finish this?

Wowowow, welcome back!!! That's a while ago.

First thought on the map: purple (region) and blue (sea) look alot like eachother.

I like the looks, but there are far pickier people on here. I think some depth between the land and the water would do a lot of good.
This one uses shadow to create the depth

This one uses a glow effect, and what looks like another border of lighter color for distinction between land and water

This one actually uses an inner shadow

Just some examples of what I mean. It looks good, just flat (which is cool too, because Med states is flat and it looks awesome). I think the lime green could be a little more green or a little darker to contrast from the yellow.

Definitely it makes a difference.

Shadow added on land-water border.
Lighter shadow added on region borders.
Slovenia/Croatia green darkened.
Minimap NOT changed.

I'm really liking how this map is coming along. Two graphic suggestions:

1. Can you make the borders thinner? I think the first example cbt711 posted (Caribbean map) is a great example.
2. I would change the textures if possible; right now they look a little too soft, again refer to the caribbean map to see what I'd talking about. Of course you don't need to copy that map but I think that adding these changes would add a big improvement.
