Hmm... the difference between Rome at its extent and the Med map we have now...
- most of Africa
+ Brittania, Caledonia
+ Germania
+ Mesopotamia (briefly conquered under Trajan)
+ Roman Armenia
iirc that's it.

also a historical freak esp roman empire it could be cool just for the notion of it. one could perhaps include sea regions like africa 1890 to differentiate it from med. map?

I think if you want a map themed for ancient Roman Empire, then go for Ancient Rome.

It'd be alright if it had a unique graphics theme. The gameplay would be very similar to Medi. I think you'd rely more on the looks to really set it apart.
But there's a lot of history buffs who would probably really really like to have a map like this.

actually getting psyched on the azukiah map. a game with that many territories/countries would be amazing...even if setup wasnt fair
