are you sure? the connection remain the same and the entry point for the connection line has also not really chanhed, but if you look at it from afar/above/ at the whole map, it looks more harmoniois, because it loosly fit the nearby circle shaped connections:
<a href="https://ibb.co/jvStgvPH"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/TBsymBxr/Titelloses-67-20251226072823.jpg" alt="Titelloses-67-20251226072823" border="0"></a><br /><a target='_blank' href='https://de.imgbb.com/'>share image link</a><br />

The current connections look somehow "squetched", while other have more or less a circluar form

Over the years we passed from very visible and clear sea-route lines to almost invisible ones:

https://dominating12.com/assets/img/maps/12.large.jpg
I would like to stay in the middle of the two.

And also from straight to curved lines, which is nice in general, but sometimes they are even overly curved for no reason, I don't like that.

Please @Dima, make your forum posts in a way that allows an easy comparison between 2 or more images. Just like this:

Version A (click to show)
Version B (click to show)
Version C (click to show)

Personally, I like A or B.
C has an overly curved sea-route connecting Sapporo and Sakhalinsk

Ah wow, welcome to the team Dima!

Sometimes it takes 1 or 2 days for the image to get updated on tablets and smartphones.
From your PC or laptop it goes faster, even immediately if you just press Ctrl+F5.

Wait a moment please. One of the special bonuses i.e. "Russian Fleet + Okhotsk" has been missed.
I could fix it immediately but I'm not sure if this will break the ongoing games or not...
Let's try and see??

Dima this map is amazing - my highest compliments to you on a visually beautiful, strategically interesting, and intuitive map!

One question for you: If you hold a naval fleet territory and 2 adjacent regions, do you still gain only +2, or do you gain +4? [...]

Hey man, i am glad you like it!

to your questions: no, the bonus remains +2, even if you hold more than one adjacent regions. [...]

Wrong assumption by Dima, this map in fact uses the same phrasing and the same cumulative bonuses as it is for the Timor map.
In practice it is +2 for EACH adjacent region, so one can get maximum +10 for owning the Japanese Fleet, and maximum +12 for owning the Russian Fleet, depending on how many adjacent regions s/he owns.

Note: It would be too complex to make these bonuses ''non-cumulative'. They have to stay like this, if they are too high then we can reduce them from +2 to just +1.

yep, lets just fix it now.

regarding cumulation: well, its also okay. ibalways played capped fog and everything was okay as it is, also havent recieved any comments on the bonuses. And the idea of reducing them to +1, if they still happen be too high, is also okay

Doing some combination math...
For the Japanese Fleet (having 5 adjacent regions) you would need 5 special bonuses for owning 1 adjacent region, plus 10 negative compensation bonuses for owning 2 adjacent regions, plus 10 positive compensations for owning 3 of them, plus 5 negative compensations for owning 4, plus 1 positive compensation for owning all 5 adjacent regions. Summing all: 5 + 10 + 10 + 5 + 1, a total of 31 special bonuses for the Japanese Fleet. For the Russian Fleet (having 6 adjacent regions) things get even worse, in short you would need 6 + 15 + 20 + 15 + 6 + 1 = 63 special bonuses for the Russian Fleet. That's why I say it would be too complex to do, and it would be also very messy and confusing in the game log.

Okay then, I have just added the missing bonus.
