Hello,

- i absolutely like the form of the map with 3 continents and few islands. this is what makes the map stand out from other maps. reminds me a bit of ancient greece, but a bit bigger and more variation in terms of geographic shapes (more islands etc...)
- the whole design is very well, although i prefer more "clean"/blant designs like italy or mediteranean, without all these little things like boats, trees, shades etc., but its a matter of taste (i remember you mentioned somewhere that your taste is corny - i understand it now). the letters and the writings are readable; the color palette is not bright - which is good. darker and pale tones are more enjoyable for the eyes; the connections between territories are visible; there are not too many colors - only 4-5 - which is also good.
- i like the way you merged region and territory names. i would consider doing something similar on my map.
- the minimap is also readable

- regarding the bonuses: i must calculate them, but i guess they are ok, cuz you experienced player & map maker.
- regarding connections between territories/regions: i will look later on this.

If you would ask me, then lets release it for test. i would like to join. if the test games are with points loss/gain, i am also fine, makes it more interesting.

Awesome graphics and very nice description. Is that a movie or a book? I don't know...
What does it mean "Marae = Region Name" ? I can't get it.

Marae just means the region name is the one with the meeting house. there is a house image in each region of the map, eg: top left red region is called the same as the territory Wipu Iwi

The language used is Maori for such things as the Marae (meeting house) / Waka (war boat) / Iwi (Tribe)
and I used a random generator for place names (keeping it fictional) using the Maori alphabet, A, E, H, I, K, M, N, O, P, R, T, U, W, NG, WH
many of which turn out to be actual names of places/things in NZ

it's not a movie, i used the help of AI writing to describe the theme loosely based on the discovery of NZ by the British Empire, and the introduction of firepower to the warring tribes.

feedback comments

the colours seem fine without the circles, but with the circles they can look similar. i will have to take a look at this

Yep, you are right Hoodlum: when the circles are there then reddish and brownish look too similar.
I agree with the new fixed version.

Anyway well spotted! You have a special graphic eye I think, in fact I wouldn't have complained about colours if you didn't mention it.

I think before we receive a feedback it will be Christmas again!
Let's just load the new image and see how it looks.
