Well, personally I don't like much one cap' in a dead-end, I mean a territory with only 1 adjacency, nor one cap' on a border of a small region with only 2 borders, I mean 2 territories to defend (bordering with other regions).
I can propose a different placement with all cap's 4-5 steps apart, all having from 3 to 5 adjacencies. All internals but 2 of them are on borders (!!), however not critical borders imo, because they are two regions too hard to defend. Like this:
