For christs sake, why dont we just release this map?

We are not on the olympics or any other professional tournaments where everything is highly regulated. We are just a site for hobby players who play for fun. So why all this testing and testing and testing before releasing a map? This map seems to be good and i love it and my love for this map counts more than 10+ players.

Just look at all these other maps that were added in the last years! People were giving feedback on forum, talking about it, discussing, making changes and so on and so on.... But what is the result? Nobody is playing on these newly added maps! The only exception is being The French Republic.

I - in contrary - would love to play on this map. Cmon, its good the way it is, just release it and i will create games and invite people. And maybe i will make a tournament! This map, although its not finished officially, will be played more often than all these maps we were discussing on forum, but that turned out to be not bery popular among players at the end.

For christs sake, cmon!

Hood, there was no bad feedback. Everybody loves tbe map. Just release it. Its not necessary to turn it into some complicated bureocratic adventure. We are not a ministry or a government intitution.

Has anyone thought of doing a Zelda map? Maybe like the Skyward Sword game?

I realise I haven't commented on this map yet. Not sure why. Maybe because there's not that much to improve on.

I like the map, both the theme, the feel and the gameplay.
It has very little texture, no mountains or any fancy decorations on the map itself (other than the one eagle I suppose). But that does give the map its own feeling. So I think I like it.

I'm not too sure the east or west bonus will ever decide a match, by the time you can keep something like that you'll have won already, but who knows.

So quick question: why would people play this map over the Mediterranean States map or vice versa?
My guess is because the med states map is a large map (66 territories) and this map is a very large map (93 territories). So different player amounts. And we don't have that much maps with as gameplay a couple of circles. I definitely think this map adds something that other maps don't have.

I agree with Matty on why people would play it. I really like it and hope it gets added to the current maps in play. People play multiple versions of the world classic, why not this?

i thought that it needed some texture and had already added a little to the version that's been input. (actual topography of the area).
Spoiler (click to show)

yeah and as for the special bonus, it wont matter too much, game would be almost over..but just keeping with the theme of the map though.. through the research of the theme, it was cool to know about the east/west division. knowing what territorites were conquered in order of the initial expansion.
i didn't pay much attention to history or geography in my school years but through d12 map making, learned a lot haha

I like the added texture, but I think sometimes it clashes with the stripe texture you have on the bottom and left edges of each territory.

And yeah, I would keep the east/west bonus here, even if they probably don't do much. It fits the theme very well. And who knows, it might decide a stalemated 3p no cards game at some point :)
