Personally I thought that the previous font was better, clearer, and the white tone stands out too much. What's the accent of the NZ terries? It's a tilde ~ or a macron ¯?

It's a macron, I didn't know how to do the accent, but I have just altered it now by copy paste from wikipedia. looks the same actually.

good tip for region number positioning, adjusted. Text colour adjusted - off white
PsymonStark wrote:
No, it doesn't look the same. Your font doesn't accept macron O.

Do you see the difference? You'll have to put the O and the macron separately, because the font doesn't have the symbol.

Just from playing experience, I would stay with Hood's ( C ).

The reason is that I made Westeros & Essos & Brethren Coast with 2's for the same amount of territories with the same 2 bordering and 1 protected territory and I feel that, whilst it's a fair bonus for the region size, it's too much advantage for the person who gets a lucky drop.
With only 3 territories to the regions in question, it is very possible for a player to spawn with a bonus region and be first to play, giving them an advantage.

Following that logic every region there should be a 1 (except Melanesia). In fact it's the common thing to do for this kind of regions.

I'd go with Psymon's suggestion, B, maybe C - but not A.

I might even suggest to make the southern most region in australia a 1 as well, but not sure about that.

This map has many small regions, every player (for normal player amounts) has a really good chance of a good drop here.

Extra connection?

After looking at some possible capital placements, I thought that it might be better to have an extra connection from - Cape York Peninsula - Solomon Islands

Nice map Hood..looks like this will be a fun cap map :)...the connections are little hard to see( I'm have weak sight) but I think they could be little brighter.
Luck,is the defining factor of a good strategy

yeah, i was wondering about the connections visibility. increased background glow/drop shadow opacity. any better?

Why the extra connection? To even out distances?

Still concerned about this font not being very readable.

Bishops on walkabout or doesn't want to comment on this map, (no activity yet), so I am trying my own suggestions as I usually do anyway, usually with little success. I feel that there might need to be that connection there for that reason.
