Sorry it's taking me a while. I did not give up on it, but my dog died and I'm going through some really tough times. Expect an update within the next week sometime.

Thanks for understanding,

Okay, I'm back at it.
It was hard to make an Islam Cresent from scratch, so I used one from Google Images. Is that allowed?
The new update is almost ready!

I want to let everyone know that I'm not gone; I am still struggling with Clash of Clans stuff (I got it back, after deleting it, I know I shouldnt've) but I am still dedicated to my Middle East map.

Here it is: http://s1329.photobucket.com/user/urgul1/media/contpersiangulfnamed-2_zpsf1807f37.jpg.html?filtersuser=137340700&filtersrecent=1&sort=1&o=0

I will work on the cresent, obviously. Seashore was harder than I thought. The cresent and start will be more of a brown color, rather than black.

Nice ^^

I think you maybe should cut your map off. Even if you cut off all the dead zone west of Bahrein and south of Al Quo'a, you should be able to fit easily a smaller minimap on the lower left corner of the map. This will also make the territories bigger and easier to see, and to fit names and circles inside.

Which are the regions and the ports?
Living proof that everyone can be a brilliant great good decent cartographer.

I've been thinking about including Oman to reduce the dead space on the map... what do you guys think? Oman is bordering the east side of UAE and it also includes the northeastern peninsula that is shown in gray in UAE. Just an idea.

Also, I was considering placing the national symbol and name of each country in English and Arabic (English and Persian for Iran) to make it look more historical. Once again, just an idea.

Please tell me what you think.

Don't get picky about the fonts. When I color over the land, I will make it better. Also, of course, I will work on that half-completed cresent. Some people were saying that putting in a cresent was controversial, but I believe it makes the map seem more historical. However, I can easily take it out if necessary.

As always, comments/questions/concerns/complaints are welcome.

Just a thought here, rename Persian Gulf to Arabian Sea. It is the more correct name the surrounding countries use.

Definitely looks better with Northern Oman to my eyes. That dead space was just too much. Loving the font and script.

I don't see why the crescent would be controversial, but you're right, it will need to be cleaned up a bit. And you'll have to figure out a way to get your connection lines around it ^^

Before you do any image cleaning though, put in the proposed regions so people can critique gameplay. It's going to be such a small map, gameplay's gonna be awful important.

I quickly numbered the regions. When you refer to the territories, please use the territory names, not the number. Also, do yall like the color of the cresent I'm working on? I'm thinking I should unite north and south uae into one large region. Also, does anyone know how to use a recently used color on Seashore? That's the reason everything's going so slow. It takes about 45 minutes just to find the exact color I was using to add to the map. I plan to put the ports at Ruwals, Mohr, Al Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Suhar, and Musandam.

I still havent given up on this. Cleaned up the map a bit. I tried to cater to everyone's comment, but there isn't much to work off of. Please comment. All suggestions are welcome.

The stars represents the regions. Please excuse that some of the territories don't have names; I am changing some of the names to make the map more realistic, as Bishop wanted.

Yes, I merged all of UAE to make one, big region. Two stars means a port. I am considering not making Musandam a port, but it's complicated because it's physically cut off from the mainland of Oman.

Once again, all suggestions are more than welcome,

IDK it's still too small of a map for me. Not enough territories to make it worth playing. It'd only be good for caps, otherwise if you get bad luck you're dead.

Is Danda pink or blue star? Is there a reason why Musandam's apart from the other blue stars?

I'd make asab alquoa liwa al ruwais a region with a two bonus and connect it to Qatar somehow. The pink regions too big to compete with the others. Maybe combine abu dahbi and al ajban, or Hatta and Al faqa

I'm sure there's a free, cleaned up image of the crescent that you can appropriate.

Still like the font and hope you can stick with the golden color scheme.
