I guess the map layout is ok. Need to define how the separate areas have access to the main large one.

I assume they are not copies of real regions as they look like someone would draw them (lacking randomness), they look like a lava flow, or leaf overlay.

He tried to make them the real regions. He does not have the ability to put an image in his graphic program to outline, is what I believe he stated. So he had to draw them all by mouse/hand.

@ aeronautic: I did try to make them look as realistic as possible. I can guarentee you that it will look very different when I add color, texture, etc. Also, I did state "I can't... import photos to use (I made this map completely from scratch)", (post #6.)
@ Nick: Also, branching off what you said, I just want to make clear that I'm trying to make North UAE and Iran the 'main large' regions. They will be worth the most reinforcements.

Im going to re-color the gulf.... Please comment if your personal opinion says gold or blue. I like gold, it would make it look more historical.

You mean the water? You could texture it to make it look like an old map. In that case, you'd want to use a beige-gold type color.

I believe that was the symbol of Japan at the WWII era. Not quite sure though. I'll probably integrate a Cresent in the gulf. (Cresent is one of those Islam symbols.)

Yeah. The Caribbean map is a great example of that too.
Yes, in fact it was the symbol of WWII Japan. It was difficult for me to see at first because it was so faded.

maybe this is not best pleace to say but there is a lot people from Yugoslavia and I it is not going to be bad move to make Yugoslavian map Bosnia, Croatia, Makedonia, Serbia, Slovenia and Montenegro. If U need any help U will get bolive me

By the way im working on the gulf now. Its going to be a goldish brown with a giant faded cresent. Its gonna rock!!
