example. the amount of dice you roll with, i roll with 2 dice enemy rolls with 2 dice, i decide to roll with 1 dice, the enemy can only roll with 1 dice, that way you dont always get screwed over when you attack, i roll 3 1's enemy rolls 2 2's i lose 2 troops, if i only decide to attack with 1 army the enemy should only be able to defend with 1 army. hope that make sense.

Ties go to the defender. As the attacker you should never want to roll 1 attacking 1 unless it is vital to over all winning such as getting a card at a crucial moment, or breaking a region.

well, i haven't played the board game version in a long time but i think I remember that even if I only attacked with 1 die then the defender could still roll with 2.

The only time it ever makes sense to not roll all your dice is when you are the defender. The attack can still roll 3 but you choose to roll just one and the max the attacker can kill is one. In the long term the odds would be better for you if you rolled both dice but there are times where rolling one might have some strategic value. i personally never found the need to do it. we couldn't implement this on the site anyway cause the defender isn't around in regular games to decide how many dice to roll and it would slow down live games to a crawl.

I also would hardly ever find it useful to attack with just 1 even if we changed the rules of risk so that the defender could only defend with 1. It would be a bad idea like glanru said because tie goes to the defender.

I'd rather not have options programmed in that hardly ever get used. too many options confuse new players.

I don't recommend this. You can zoom in and out using your browser already; ctrl and = (same button as the +) zooms in, ctrl and - zooms out. Click and drag would be nice, but this would require additional software such as a Java app or flash. Additional software requires additional skill set of use and in some cases maintenance (such as updates or bug fix patches).

funny i guess i never read through the entire glossary. That option might have a glossary entry but it hasn't been implemented on the site.

I have personally never seen nothing mentioned about golden dice where is it? and what is it? Also as far as being able to roll less than two or three dice I have never liked it, Vexer is right they only strategic value it would have would be for the defender only losing one.In my own opinion I as an old old Risk player just sees this as delaying the inevitable. I tell my own son unless you absolutely have to, NEVER EVER fight 2 on 1, because then you lose the attacker advantage, and in war every advantage is needed to win.

Also to NanoTek the only thing the premium members have that the non-premium members don't have is the option to play more games my friend. 4myGod was at one time making special flags that only the premium members would be able to use in a game instead of the normal colors. Just to help to encourage premium membership. Because when a player purchases premium membership he is helping the site to grow, it cost money to advertise, it cost money to maintain a server, with more money means more of everything for us. Mainly it would free up some time for Teck to implement more options. One of the main reasons I purchased my own premium was to help the site grow, granted I LOVE being able to play a bunch of games at once like pntbttr and all the rest of the premium members do, but at the same time it's all about the bigger picture. Like I have stated before I want everyone to be able to log on to D12 at their 3:00 a.m. and have 100 live games waiting, I know that the chances to have 100 live games waiting at 3 am sounds like a long stretch, but if I log into FB at 3 am how many people do you think is on their A TON, so it could happen. The more money the more options, the more maps, the more players. Imagine if we had a team of programmers like alot of sites do. This is all my own personal opinions but just the thought of all that is AMAZING to me. Could it happen, sure it could. Will it be a tough goal to reach, ofcourse it will. But the harder a goal is to reach the more it is appreciated when it becomes a reality. Will I ever see it...MAN I HOPE!!!!!
