I am getting so sick of players who are beat in games refusing to resign and just letting the clock run out on their two turns, basically making the other player wait the most time possible for the win. This is horrible sportsmanship and seems to happen with almost every game where 1 player in a 1 on 1 game gets off to a great start. Something needs to be done about this

Also, do they loss less points when they time out vs losing? Seems to be that way but im not sure

No

It's just that people who time out tend to be noobs and thus have less points to lose.

I disagree, large group who stop taking turns as soon as they know they will lose, not just noobs

Report them (to an admin via PM), they will probably end banned. Disrespectful actions usually end with a ban.

You're right kicka, it happens a lot. They have a bad start then decide they are off to the beach or something. I usually don't mind because it's a win and I can just play another game being a prem member.

In a 1v1, if I instantly know it's over, I still cannot bring myself to click that resign button, that's mostly due to 'quitting' being the worst offence where I use to play online risk, but maybe they don't want to spend their tokens to resign. Missed turns I believe don't earn them tokens.
*Maybe resigning in a 1v1 game shouldn't cost tokens*

When I know it's over for myself in 1v1 games I just hit the neutral territories and make the game go faster.

For now I suppose you could just paste this in your room to known stallers

If you don't want to spend tokens on resigning, hit the neutrals to make the game go faster. You still EARN TOKENS for finishing a game WITHOUT MISSED TURNS, and it doesn't affect your attendance reputation score

Thanks UP, wasn't sure I don't pay much attention to tokens I just know I got a whole bunch :)

For a scenario like this, here's an idea.
We have points limits as an option, perhaps an attendance score restriction option.

eg: Any player that falls below 95, can be prevented from joining your game. *There are some shocking attendance scores.

Maybe it could be a prem option feature or something. For the non prem, they could Pay tokens to get this option till they decide it's something worth having that they can purchase a premium for.

I am very much in favor of having an attendance score restriction option.

A potential reason for this is they have to go but they can't resign because it needs to be at least turn 3 or 5 to resign.

Just wondering, exactly how is attendance score calculated? Mine is 88 but I'm very sure that I don't miss 1 turn out of 10...
It is now Day 8. Please submit your Lynch vote, as well as any Role-specific Day actions you wish to perform (countdown).
Day Actions:
• #LYNCH [player], #NO LYNCH, #ABSTAIN in forum thread.
• Role-specific actions (via PM with V98).

its turns missed / last 100 games

which is why my attendance score is low, every time I resign I lose 2 points

If I'm not wrong, it's the number of games you completed without missing turns of the last 100, not turns missed.
