The trouble with resigning as it is now.

Get rid of it. I'm yet to come across a time where someone has used it because they've had to go suddenly but plenty of times after they have attacked as much as they can then decide to run away. To me the want to not have to wait 6 minutes for someone to time out of the game should not outweigh the need to keep the integrity of a game intact.

Quitting in risk should be frowned upon above all other outcomes.

@elysium5, the "Resign" button seems to add to the admin headaches.

@Sygmassacre, I am by no means against getting rid of the "Resign" button altogether, but I would be VERY surprised if it happened.

@Spamfree, it does and doesn't add to the headaches as 'resign' abuse and missed turns abuse tend to go hand in hand. That being said, if it doesn't turn out to be a good addition, you just might be 'very surprised' ;)

I'd still like to see the "Resign" button DISABLED in "Fog" games, especially "Fog" "Capitals". It destroys "Fog" strategy :(

i could see resigning costing tokens, and maybe every 5th resignation costing an attendance point . because questions of fair play and resignation abuse are left to Mods.

And i dont think attendance points should be lost unless one is booted. The only time i got booted for missing turns have been due to electricity loss, or internet problems. tho i have missed single turns due to something like a bathroom break, or phone call, someone at the door,, etc.and thats rare.

if i were a chronic turn misser , or quitter, due to bad form, bad manners, etc. i could see my Attend score as low as 93 ( and it never seems to rise back) , but i am not, my turn missing is always due to a fluke, and i only resign once my game is lost, and then only if i am in a hurry to join another game , or have a sudden emergency and must leave.

i think penalization (attend point loss) should reflect on people who quit too often, not every single turn miss, including occasional resignation.

Attendance score is there to allow others to choose who is most likely to slow the game or cause their strategy to go out of the window when somebody is not staying with the flow of the game and cards.
Even though you say, you're not a chronic turn misser or quitter, you are still prone to this

and this still disrupts the flow of the game and messes up others strategy.

However, you are not particularly a bad attender and would have no problem being invited to games on your score, but those side tracks and flukes have been adding up and dropped you just below the high attendance score required for a tournament. They are easily rectified if they took place nearly 100 games ago, just a few more games with perfect attendance and they go back up.

it also depends on number of games u got going...i noticed (in the westeros game) axo that u dont play that many games at same time...neither do i - which means that raising ur att score is bound to take time
