I am getting a bit tired that these completely valid discussions always turn into discussions about dice, so let me finish this once and for all:
All programmers are
volunteeringly working on this website. We make no money from this at all. The only reason why we are working on this site is because we like it and we want to make it better for you guys. (We love you all, xxx!)
Everybody is telling is we
have to change the dice because they suck. So let me get this straight: I don't
have to do anything I don't want to. Personally, I think the dice are fine. We are simulating the reality as close as is even possible on a computer and unless one of you
volunteeringly wants to sit at a desk all day rolling a die, that is fine too
So, to get this straight: as long as none of the programmers feels like implementing these new dice and none of the programmers has time to do it, you'll have to live with it. "I am not going to pay because the dice suck" is an invalid argument, because as long as not enough people are paying, there is no money to invest in some people that can work on this more and actually implement these dice you want.
I don't want to force anyone to pay for this website. I think that this website gives a lot of options to those not paying and I think that is completely awesome (or brilliant, depending on which country you're living). But yes, this site costs money, so that is supported by payed options and if you want this site to live on and grow, then you'll have to invest some money in it.
Long story short: there is just no working capacity in the programmers team of this site to implement a new dice system right now and within the programmers team there is also no urge to do so, because why fix something that
is not wrong!? Please, please stop complaining about the dice because it will not help at all, except for making me really pissed. If you really think the dice here are horrible, then leave and go play games somewhere else and tell me if their dice are any better.
