Capped Cards

The brilliant idea that Glanru came up with on 24 April 2011 is now a reality. His original thinking was that in 2p games it's nice to play with fixed cards but the problem is that the player who gets a set first gets a huge advantage. So he came up with the idea to increase the cards like normal but then cap it when it's reached a certain amount. For example in a two player game it might be ideal to cap it at 8.

With more players it might be better to cap it at 20. But you can also cap it at any of these values: 8,10,12,15,20,25...50.

This option will also work great with the new Domination Game Type provided that you don't set the cap too high compared to the number of players you have.

The update may make the live game lobby list display incorrectly. You may have to do a few CTRL + F5's to get it working or in some browsers it's easier to get it working right by clearing your browser cache.

Server

Thanks to all the players who have been buying premium. We are now able to consider a small speed upgrade to the server. It won't be a problem as long as the premium memberships keep coming. There are no details yet about when we will do the upgrade, we first have to chat with the hosting company.

Fabulous. Too many games are decided by huge card turn-ins, capping that number is a great idea.
