Can we put a timer on games?

This is more for live games but can be applied to both short and long term games. The idea of a timer is that after a set amount of time (decided on by the game creator) the game is automatically suspended and ends in a draw.

This makes is much easier to plan a game and to keep games from growing too long.

Eg - a timer of 2 hours for a short term game. So once the game starts, the timer begins and auto stops after the timer is triggered.

That's an interesting idea!  I like :)
I agree. Im often hesitant to play live games especially if I know the players are good, which can either mean a fairly fast game or an endless game that usually only ends when someone reigns or asks for a draw, which then feels like wasted time
New Mafia game coming

What do we do with people stalling their timer on purpose to make it a draw?

they could do that. what's stopping them from doing now? in fact it happens quite often in games, especially 1v1.

timer/ no timer has no effect on such a gameplay.

i do prefer this to be for both live and long term games
