I would purpose different levels for different levels of competitors. As a new player I am getting preyed upon by the more established and better players. 3 games in a row it was obvious the veterans were like a wolf pack circling me and lining up to take me out right from the get go as they can see I am new. While I understand I need to get better it is almost impossible to evolve when I am being hunted and taken out first pretty much all the time. I see that players can put a min for rank to play in a game, maybe there should be a max as well for the lesser ranked and newer players so we have a chance, otherwise its kind of a waste of time to keep playing against those who have played 1000 games etc.

You already can choose a maximum (as well as a minimum) rank when you set up a game.
Let’s play Twister, let’s play risk

Hi janedoe! Welcome to Dominating12! I completely understand your post, the first few games can be really difficult!
If you haven't already done so, I would recommend reading some threads in the strategy tips forums, they can be really helpful!

Here's some which sprung to mind for me:
setting up a winning move: https://dominating12.com/forums/4/strategy-tips/2240/basic-tutorial-on-increasing-card-games
using the first couple of turns wisely: https://dominating12.com/forums/4/strategy-tips/918/first-turn-of-the-game
