This was posted in another topic, but I thought it might benefit from one of it's own. The problem with D12 is that it's nearly impossible to use on a phone. My friends and I have all had terrible outcomes when attempted. While the best outcome would be a responsive site redesign, an easier thing might be to just make some small changes based on a device's screen size.

While there map size may not be fixable, some basic things like increasing the attack and fortify buttons would be helpful. Google and Apple guidelines recommend a minimum of 48px tall. The commands are also centre aligned to the site, not the screen. When zooming in and out on the map, the commands aren't always in view, which makes it impossible to watch the territories and the dice rolls. Stacking the player list and the comments section one on top of the other (rather than the desktop-style side by side) would allow for less side scrolling.

Those are really interesting suggestions you have there. I agree that the site could be made a lot more mobile friendly, and I also have experience with doing so. The map is the biggest problem of the mobile-friendly layout, and I am not sure how that could be fixed right now. We are currently in the process of a site rewrite, and we decided to not pay particular attention to the use of this website on mobile devices. The main reason for this is frankly that the website was never designed to be used on mobile devices.

That being said however, once we have make sure the desktop experience is completely finished, I will gladly take the time to make changes to the layout of the website to make it more mobile friendly. The truth is that we can probably never provide a full mobile experience until we do a complete rework of the layout, because there are too many elements that just wouldn't work in a mobile setting, so we will probably never officially support the use of the website on mobile devices until such point, but we can definitely make it as easy as possible, as long as the amount of involved effort is reasonable :)

So, expect me to get back to you and other people about suggestions on improvements once we have finalised the desktop design :)

I don't expect a perfect mobile experience on here. Things like the maps don't have a good answer right now. That's the reason I focused on specific functions. Things like the buttons for attacking and such would make a huge difference with little work on the rest of the site.

I'm not a coder, but I've worked on websites before. If you want some help or advice, just ask.
