Same as Team Games, except all members of one team are controlled by one player.

I think it would be interesting to allow the option for players to play a 1v1 game, but with the format of a team game. For example, in a triads team game, all 3 colours that belong to team A would be controlled by one player, and all 3 colours that belong to team B would be controlled by the other player.

This could be extended to a 1v1v1 game (all 3 colours that belong to team C would be controlled by the third player), or even a 1v1v1v1 if the game was set up as a pairs team game.

The reason why I think this would be good is because it would allow players to play the unique team game format without:
a) Having to wait for lots of other players to join
b) Relying on another team-mate who maybe doesn't always look at the Team Chat or ignores (what you think) is perfect advice
c) Waiting for ages for your turn to roll back round (you take turns for every one of your team)

I for one would definitely love it if this was a feature. Any other opinions or flaws with this suggestion?

I don't think it's a particularly bad suggestion although it might not be possible to program!?
If it is possible, the first downside that jumps out at me is that skilled team players will have a new dominance over new or unskilled players that the REAL team games don't give, because they have the 4,6,8 different people aspect.

That downside is also an upside, because new players can practice easier.

I'm not against this, although I very much wonder if it's even possible to program, as there are certain database rules to make sure you can't have the same person twice in one game.

I see lots of suicides of your capitals to take advantage of turn in bonuses. But when to do it? How do you stop your opponent taking advantage of that move? The strategies are abundant!! My brain hurts enough as it is with sametime strategy. And since you are using more than one capital the spawn would be different each time which keeps the game feeling fresh.

I would like this in a traditional consecutive turn format

I didn't think about capitals... but if you attack your own capital, you are giving your opponent that crucial 2 turns in a row for every one of your turns.

Yes, but what about when card value increases and you can just empty one of the Caps to a protection position, kill the Cap on your next turn and fortify the extra troops either to a new attacking position or to your other Cap.
The cards received would most probably be enough to block, kill or reduce your opponent who plays after you, bringing it down to a 1v1 game.
Capital Team games with this ability would be weird, also quite strategic in a sort of suicidal way & perhaps fun too. It would certainly lend itself to new unique strategies.
It would take some real ingenuity to use these new abilities in a 3 X Pairs Team Game.

taking your partner out in certain situations is required. gives the card count to run the board. I see so many teams trying to protect their low troop count partners instead of killing them and using his cards and theirs to attain a victory. protecting your teams cards is crucial..
